High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

A group of students at East High stages a performance of "High School Musical" for the winter theater production, only to realize that there is as much drama that happens offstage as there is onstage.

E.J. is jealous and reeling after losing the leading role of Troy to Ricky, and Miss Jenn tells the conflicted leading lady, Nini, to trust the process.

After 'losing' her phone and missing an important rehearsal, Nini suspects who is responsible for her bout with bad luck and surprisingly retaliates. EJ confronts Ricky about a heartfelt voicemail left for Nini. Meanwhile, Mr. Mazzara becomes suspicious of Miss Jenn's past.

After Nini discovers that E.J. isn't who she thinks he is, Ashlyn gets caught in the middle. Gina and E.J. team up as 'Wonderstudies,' and Ricky gets an unexpected visitor at home.

Miss Jenn organizes a girl's night out with Kourtney and Nini to help Nini shake off the boy drama, while the rest of the theater kids attend the East High Homecoming dance, where Carlos learns to dance like everyone's watching.

When a blizzard barrels down on Salt Lake City, the Wildcats are stranded at East High after hours, just as E.J. receives some bad news. As cabin fever sets in, Miss Jenn inspires Nini to make a bold choice about her future; Kourtney's coworker Howie makes a surprising move; and Gina and Carlos come to blows.

Gina and Seb rally the group to throw Carlos the music and dance-filled Quinceañero he never had. Meanwhile, Ricky accidentally oversteps in more ways than one, and Miss Jenn gets a wild idea about how to get Nini back onstage at East High.

After rival school North High releases a viral video to undermine the Wildcats, Miss Jenn hosts a weekend improv intensive to build up her kids' confidence. Meanwhile, Nini works on a new song at Salt Lake Slices, where she finds inspiration in Kourtney's approach to life.

When Gina finds herself stranded at the airport, a surprise run-in changes her mind about what she wants.

After rehearsals fall flat, the cast breaks into separate sleepovers to brainstorm Broadway-worthy ideas to outdo North High as the countdown to opening night looms. Secrets rise between Nini and Gina, and meanwhile Seb and Carlos suffer their first fight. Ricky receives an unexpected FaceTime call. Miss Jenn confides in Mr. Mazzara about her fear of losing the competition. The cast meets up at the stage unsupervised to rehearse the new plan.
