Two orphans living in the small Hage village, share a dream-to become the Wizard King! But in this world of magic, Asta is powerless. When the time comes for their grimoire awarding ceremony, will his luck change?

The grimoire that Yuno received was a legendary grimoire with a four-leaf clover. A bandit named Lebuty comes to steal it, and Asta comes to Yuno's rescue.

Asta and Yuno spend six months training for the upcoming Magic Knights Entrance Exam. Everyone seems to think Yuno is sure to pass, but worries that Asta is just wasting his time.

Asta and Yuno head toward the colosseum in the royal capital for the Magic Knights Entrance Exam, while looking around and admiring all the things they've never seen before.

The entrance exam finally comes to a close. The time has arrived for the captains to decide which candidates they want to join their squads.

Asta has arrived at the home of the Black Bulls, which Yami himself called the absolute worst Magic Knights Squad. He is greeted by the squad's unique members.

As a new member of the Black Bulls, Asta is thrilled to receive his very first private room, even though it's tiny. Everything Asta sees as Magna shows him around the squad's base is new and exciting to him.

The Magic Knights: heroes that everyone in the kingdom looks up to and dreams of becoming one day. But the new recruit, Asta, has yet to do anything that seems like what a Magic Knight should be doing, as he's stuck doing random chores.

On Yami's orders, Asta and Noelle go on their first mission with Magna to hunt wild boars. They successfully complete the mission and go to Saussy Village to meet with the mayor, Seyhe.

Asta, Noelle, and Magna are doing their best to protect the villagers of Rayaka from the ice magic user Heath and his underlings, but Asta's attacks don't seem to be working, and Magna's magical powers are running low.

After Asta, Magna, and Noelle saved the villagers of Saussy Village, the Wizard King gives the Black Bulls a star of honor. Asta and Noelle also receive their first pay as Magic Knights, and Asta is filled with happiness.

As they were visiting the Black Market, Asta and the others see an old woman get robbed, and Asta goes after the thief.

While on an escort mission, Yuno, Klaus and Mimosa are attacked by a mysterious group of men. Klaus senses that they're in danger and wants to escort Salim as quickly as possible, but Salim insists on visiting Yuno's hometown, Hage Village.

A dungeon appeared near the border of the Clover Kingdom and the Diamond Kingdom. The dungeon is like an ancient ruin. It may contain important treasures, but they're guarded by various magical traps.

Yuno, Klaus, and Mimosa from the Golden Dawn appear in front of Asta and Noelle, apparently sent on the same mission. Klaus mocks the Black Bulls for their awful reputation and gets in an argument with Asta.

Yuno, Mimosa, and Klaus get close to the treasure chamber in the dungeon. However, a mage from the Diamond Kingdom named Mars gets in their way.

In order to go to the treasure chamber together with his friends, Yuno confronts Mars alongside Klaus, so that the injured Mimosa can heal herself. But they have a hard time harming Mars at all.

Asta, Yuno and the others finally get to the treasure chamber, and they're in awe at the mountain of treasure in front t of them. Yuno finds a strange scroll with strange writing, and then his grimoire does something strange.

Asta is gravely injured in the battle against Mars and collapses. Despite his own injuries, something drives Mars onward, and he tries to finish off Asta.

Asta and Noelle head to the Magic Knights Headquarters in the Noble Realm to report on their mission to capture the dungeon. On their way, they run into Yuno, Klaus, and Mimosa, and they all head to the headquarters together.

Asta defends Noelle from her siblings at the decoration ceremony, and the other nobles try to put him in his place. Meanwhile, Leopold and Fuegoleon seem to have taken a liking to Asta, which causes an argument between Fuegoleon and Nozel.

After hearing about the attack on the capital, Asta rushed out, and the rest of the Magic Knights quickly followed. They found that corpses being controlled by Rades's wraith magic were attacking the citizens.

Thanks to Noelle's help, Asta is now able to concentrate on the battle. However, because of the attack he took earlier, Asta continues to lose stamina and isn't able to move as well as he'd like.

While the masses were praising the Magic Knights for saving them, most of the Magic Knights present are swallowed up by a spatial magic spell known as Blackout.

Captain Fuegoleon is swallowed up by spatial magic right in front of Asta and the others. Noelle realizes that the spellcaster must be nearby, since the spell pinpointed Fuegoleon. Asta finds the spellcaster, but something unbelievable happens next.

Astra and Leopold become prime targets as their enemies continue to fight.

The one who saved Asta from the group calling themselves the Eye of the Midnight Sun was the Wizard King, Julius, who was waiting for them at their base. Asta and the members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun are in awe of Julius's power.

Finral invites Asta and Luck to go to a mixer with him. Noelle hears about this and ends up following them because she's concerned about Asta. To deepen her cover, she even gets a job at the pub they go to.

Months have passed since Asta and Yuno became Magic Knights and took their first steps toward becoming the Wizard King. Father and Sister Lily couldn't be happier about all of their hard work.

The Black Bulls get a day off after getting paid, and Gauche goes to visit his beloved little sister Marie. To his surprise, he finds Asta already there and playing with her.

Asta, Theresa and Gauche follow a mana trial in pursuit of the abducted children. They then discover the reason for the abductions.

Asta and the others arrive at the dungeon where the children were being held. Seeing that Marie was hurt by the enemy, Gauche loses his mind. Asta is enraged at the fact that the children had their magic stolen, and he and Gauche go after Baro and Neige.

Sally's gel magic is extremely incompatible with Gauche's mirror magic. She uses her dark magic item and turns Baro into a giant mud monster, which makes Gauche take Marie and flee.

After defeating Sally and Baro, Asta and Gauche suddenly end up having to face Licht, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Licht's attacks are too fast for Asta to see, and he gets injured.

Yami and Licht continue their battle and Asta faces off with Valtos. Meanwhile, Finral manages to get all of the kids and Theresa back to the town and Theresa gets treated for her injuries.

With the help of Gauche, Yami and Asta are able to defeat Licht. However, their victory is short-lived, as the three who call themselves the Third Eye appear and come to Licht's aid.

Three of the Magic Knight captains, Jack the Ripper, Charlotte, and Nozel, appear and come to Yami and Asta's aid in fighting the Third Eye. Asta is told that his grimoire and swords belong to Licht's master, and Licht wants them back.

The Wizard King summons Asta after his work dealing with the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Yami tells Asta he can come with him to the royal capital, since he has to go to a conference of all the Magic Knights Captains.

Thanks to Asta, Julius and Marx were able to undo the protection spell that was on the captives from the Eye of the Midnight Sun and ask them who the traitor among them was.

Entrusted with a mission by the Wizard King, Asta and the other Black Bulls head to Raquey, a place that's surrounded by strong mana. With Captain Yami gone off somewhere, the other members decide to play around on the beach in their swimsuits.

Asta and Noelle train for their upcoming mission and meet a girl named Kahono, whose dream is to become an idol who cansing, dance, and use magic.

Because of Noelle's hard work, the Black Bulls are able to get through the harsh mana currents and safely arrive at the Underwater Temple. Everyone is nervous, since they've never been here before, but the underwater people welcome them with open arms.

The black bulls decide to go along with the Game presented within the Underwater Temple complex, 9 Fantastic Temple Priests leap into action against our heroes. Yami decides to drink with the Temple Master during the Event Until uninvited guests arrive.

One of the members of the Third Eye, Vetto, appears at the Underwater Temple along with his underlings.

Asta and Kiato attempt to help Magna, Luck and Gio after Vetto overwhelms them.

Kahono and Noelle reach Asta and the others. Noelle is astonished at how powerful Vetto is, but Kahono remains confident. She is the granddaughter of Gifso and cherishes everyone at the Underwater Temple, which she is willing to do anything to protect.

Despite being greatly injured in the battle against Vetto, Asta stands up to face him again. Seeing this, Vanessa and Finral come to assist Asta, too.

Asta continues his attacks against Vetto with support from Vanessa and Finral. They finally manage to land a blow on Vetto, but it's not very effective. Vanessa and Finral remember when they were younger and much weaker.

Asta's sword finally manages to take down Vetto! But that was all a part of Vetto's plan. He manages to steal Asta's sword and break his arm. Vetto proudly proclaims victory, but Asta doesn't give up hope.

The members of the Black Bulls all surpassed their limits and defeated a powerful enemy. They manage to safely get the magic stone and successfully complete their mission, and all the members other than Captain Yami go recuperate.

After Captain Yami saved the Black Bulls in the Underwater Temple, Yami and Asta return the stone to the Wizard King and report what happened when suddenly a large enemy force arrives at one of the Clover border cities near the Diamond Kingdom... a Great Enemy has appeared, but the Golden Dawn Magical Knights Squad is rushing in.

The Golden Dawn continue fighting the Diamond forces. The Diamonds soon realize they are about to be overpowered when William uses his world tree magic, basically ending the fight.

During the attack on the Clover Kingdom by the Diamond Kingdom, Yami saves the captain of the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance, from Lotus's attack. Yami then asks William a question that's been on his mind for quite some time. Meanwhile, Asta runs into Yuno in Kiten and they are confronted by Finral's younger half-brother, Langris. Langris was always beaming with potential and joined the elite Magic Knight Squad of the Golden Dawn and became the vice-captain. He also despises his older brother Finral and considers him a total failure. Langris mocks his brother as well as the other Black Bulls and Finral finally stands up to him...

After Kiten is successfully protected Yami introduces Asta to a recovery mage named Owen that works directly under the Wizard King so he can get his arms healed. Owen is known as the most powerful recovery mage in the Clover Kingdom, but Asta's arms were in a horrific condition. Finral happens to walk by the room when Owen tells Asta something about his injury, and then he tells the rest of the Black Bulls, who are shocked. The Black Bulls go to check on Asta and see that he's still not discouraged at the bad news, and they all come to a decision...

Asta first met Fanzell Kruger shortly after he received his grimoire. He runs into him while training with his new anti-magic sword. Fanzell uses wind magic and is able to turn wind into a sword so he helps Asta train. One day while they're in the forest, someone comes for Fanzell's life..

A few months after being trained by Fanzell, he suddenly shows up at the Black Bulls' base. Fanzell recognized Noelle's staff and wanted to ask her about it. It was created by his fiancee, Domina, and he was thankful to find another clue as to her whereabouts. But then, more assassins who are after Fanzell also appear at the Black Bulls' base...

Noelle and Finral go to visit Asta's sword instructor, Fanzell, in hopes that he'd know a way to fix Asta's arms. Fanzell's fiancee, Domina, tells them that the Queen of Witches in the Witches' Forest should be able to dispel ancient curses, so they go to visit her. They eventually get Asta as well as Mariella to tag along and Domina leads them to the forest. However an incident occurs and their infiltration soon gets found out. They manage to bust into the Queen of Witches's mansion, but she already had a prior guest. It was Vanessa, who also came from the Witches' Forest just like Domina...

While Asta and the others were meeting with the Queen of Witches, the forces of the Diamond Kingdom and the Eye of the Midnight Sun were getting closer to the Witches' Forest. The party asks the Queen of Witches to cure Asta's arms so he can help protect the witches from the incoming forces. The Queen of Witches takes interest in Asta's anti-magic sword and cures Asta's arms. The party splits up into two different teams to go face off with both of the incoming forces.

Noelle uses her water magic to try to put out the fires that have sprouted up around the forest while Asta, Finral, and Vanessa confront another member of the Third Eye, Fana. Asta tries to reason with Fana by talking to her, but that quickly gets shut down when Fana attacks with her fire spirit, salamander. They soon find out that Fana not only has fire magic, but other magic using different attributes...

While Asta and the other Black Bulls were fighting with Fana, Fanzell was facing off with the forces of the Diamond Kingdom, which he used to be a part of. The forces happen to be led by two of Fanzell's former students, Ladros and Mars. Fanzell left the Diamond Kingdom because he didn't agree with the kingdom's methods, but before, he would train children on how to use their powers for the Diamond Kingdom. Fanzell tries to reason with his former students, but Ladros attacks regardlessly, forcing Fanzell to fight with them.

Fanzell ends up bring Mars and Ladros to where Asta was fighting. In order to defeat Ladros who absorbs the magic of his enemies, Fanzell thinks of a plan to have Asta's anti-magic counter that. Asta doesn't really understand what's going on but does what Fanzell asks him to do. He bats away Fana's spirit magic with his sword. Meanwhile, Mars sees Fana, and...

Working alongside Mars, Asta is able to stop Fana from self-destructing. Fana regains her senses and they ask her what happened. However, Fana doesn't remember the events that happened after she had lost consciousness, other than she felt the strong need to take back the magic stones and that she was being controlled by someone's extreme hatred. Meanwhile, Ladros, who they thought they'd defeated, comes back even stronger and attacks them. The attack was so sudden that everyone didn't have time to react. Asta tries to face Ladros alone, and...

Asta loses consciousness after Ladros's attack and the Queen of Witches tries to use this opportunity to awaken Asta's true powers. Meanwhile, Asta ends up waking up in a strange space, and he realizes there's a giant being in front of him. The being offers to lend him strength in exchange for Asta's body, but Asta declines. Asta finally regains consciousness and seems to have powers that Noelle and the others had never seen before...

As promised, Asta and the others get rid of the invaders who attacked the Witches' Forest. However, the Queen of Witches was after Asta and his swords to begin with. She uses a spell to make Asta her puppet and tries to get him to kill his own friends. Vanessa begs the queen to stop, but she refuses. But in her helplessness, Vanessa ends up awakening to a new spell...

The Queen of Witches had been waiting patiently for Vanessa to awaken to her true powers, but ironically, it was those powers that helped them defeat the queen. The Queen of Witches realizes that she was wrong and heals Asta and the rest of the party, and tells Vanessa that she may do as she pleases now. They ask the queen if she knows why the Eye of the Midnight Sun is after the magic stones and she explains that both the swords Asta has as well as the magic stones all belonged to the legendary elf tribe that no longer exists...

Asta and the others safely return to the Black Bulls' base after defeating the Eye of the Midnight Sun and the Diamond Kingdom in the Witches' Forest. Now that Asta's arms have healed, the Black Bulls as well as Yuno, Klaus, and Mimosa are relieved. However, there's no telling when the Eye of the Midnight Sun or the Diamond Kingdom will try to attack the Clover Kingdom again. Klaus then brings up a proposal to Yuno and Mimosa.

The Star Festival, the biggest festival of the year in the Clover Kingdom was about to take place. Every year the festival, the number of stars each Magic Knight squad had acquired would be announced. Captain Yami and the other Black Bulls prepare to go all out for this festival. Noelle tries to use this chance to enjoy the festival with Asta, but Asta ends up inviting some guests to the festival. The guests happened to be Kahono and Kiato...

Captains Yami and Jack the Ripper are ready to settle their long-running rivalry, while their newest squad members are desperate to rein them in.

Captain Charlotte of the Blue Rose Knights thinks back to her past, but not before she and Vanessa battle it out in more than one ill-advised contest.

The Wizard King announces the latest Magic Knight squad rankings and reveals the two top star-earners, while King Clover introduces a bold new plan.

Mereoleona Vermillion, the new captain of the Crimson Lion Kings, takes the squad (and a few Black Bulls) along for training in a strong magic region.

Asta attempts to tap into his mysterious dark powers so he can make it to Mereoleona's hot spring training camp. Noelle learns about her late mother.

Magic Knights from every squad gather for the test that will determine who'll be a Royal Knight. The vice-captain of the Purple Orcas causes a stir.

Round 1 of the tournament sees Asta and Mimosa teaming up for a heated battle against three skilled senior Magic Knights. But what happened to Xerx?

The tournament continues as Magna and Sol fight alongside the conceited Kirsch Vermillion and Finral takes a risk with teammates Leopold and Hamon.

The mysterious Mage X reveals his identity and reflects on his upbringing as a struggling painter turned magic knight, using his unique artistry to wage battle.

Klaus, Puli, and Luck's team battle has now begun. Between Klaus's cautious nature, Luck's tendency to go beserk, and Puli's hyperactive personality, they're able to pull a win. Then Yuno, Noelle, and En end up battling against Alecdora Sandler and Solid Silva in the last battle of the first stage.

The first stage of the Royal Knights Selection Exam comes to a close and the second stage begins. The first match is between Asta, Mimosa, Xerx and Magna, Kirsch, and Sol. Kirsch is as narcissistic and powerful as ever, giving Asta problems. But then he remembers his training back at the volcano and uses his Black Asta powers. Will he be able to defeat Kirsch?

Asta is able to stop Kirsch from moving with the help of Xerx, but the Magna appears before them. Magna has always been an expert at controlling his powers and he now has a new spell. He uses the new spell to gradually damage Asta's team's crystal. Meanwhile, Mimosa realizes that the enemy team's crystal is inside Sol's golem and she comes up with a plan.

The Wizard King ends up changing the order of the matches. Now, Asta's team and Langris's team begin their match. Langris is as powerful as ever and continues to show his deep hatred, meanwhile, Asta faces off with him passionately, angered by the fact that he mocked and injured Finral. Seeing Asta fight, Xerx remembers a certain someone. Meanwhile, something had been bothering Julius for quite a while, so he quietly watches the match.

The Magic Knights question Langris's sanity as he challenges Asta to a fight in the middle of the tournament. Zora recalls his Magic Knight father.

Charmy left the battlefield to a nearby forest to search for ingredients to use when making meals for Yuno and the Wizard King. She accidentally eats a poisonous mushroom and has a dream consisting of all the Clover Clips compiled.

The semifinal bout between Asta and Langris comes to a grim conclusion. Luck has a plan that could give his team the edge over Aqua Deer captain Rill.

The final match is underway - Rill's team vs Yuno and Noelle's. Yuno pulls out a new move he had been saving for Asta. The Wizard King offers Zora a place in the magic knights.

In an attempt to cheer up Asta, Captain Yami forces the group to take a bath together. He tells a story of when he is approached by a group of villagers who ask for his help in defending their crops against bandits.

Yami tells another tale of his younger days in the Magic Knights: a top-secret mission given to him and William Vangeance by the Wizard King himself.

Maraleona Vermillion comes to the Black Bulls' hideout and takes the magic knights that were selected for the Royal Knights. They meet the others who were selected and get their new uniforms.

The Royal Knights relocate to the royal capital in preparation for their attack on the floating dungeon in Gravito Stones. Klaus warns of enemy spies.

Gauche, Grey and Gordon are left alone at the Black Bulls' hideout when they are attacked by the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

The battle at the Black Bulls' hideout rages on. The "ghost" reveals his identity and his powers to help them fight the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Mereoleona and Nozel plow their way through the dungeon to get to Licht along with the other Royal Knights. It is then that the final member of the Third Eye, Raia the Disloyal, appears in front of Mereoleona. Asta and Zora are astounded at how powerful Mereoleona is, but then suddenly, there are two Astas. Mereoleona doesn't even hesitate and decides to attack both of the Astas.

While the Wizard King Julius was thinking about how the Royal Knights were fairing on their raid of the Eye of the Midnight Sun's hideout, a person appeared before him. It was someone Julius was very familiar with and they start reminiscing about the past. Meanwhile, Yami had appeared at the Golden Dawn's headquarters because he had received a message from Vangeance saying that he wanted to apologize for Langris injuring Finral. But no matter how long Yami waited, Vangeance didn't show up, which was irritating Yami to no end.

The battle rages on between the Wizard King and Licht, who holds a kingdom's worth of innocent people hostage. Julius recalls his greatest motivation.

After receiving an emergency message from Julius's aide, Marx, Yami hurries to the scene of Julius and Licht's battle. However, once he gets there, he sees an unbelievable sight. Meanwhile, the Royal Knights continued their battle at the Eye of the Midnight Sun's hideout. Captain Mereoleona had the final member of the Third Eye, Raia, cornered. Seeing no way out, Raia was about to activate a self-destruct spell when Asta nullifies his spell and then gives him a piece of his mind.

Long ago, there were beings with very high magical powers living in the Clover Kingdom called elves. The elf Licht possessed a four-leaf grimoire and he lived peacefully with his brethren, who trusted him greatly. One day, a human named Tetia and her older brother happened to come by their village. Her older brother also had a four-leaf grimoire just like Licht and hoped to bring humans and elves together. The siblings and Licht shared similar ideals, so they became rather close, and eventually, Tetia became pregnant with Licht's child. But then, a great tragedy fell upon the elves...

While the Royal Knights were infiltrating the floating dungeon base of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, something strange was happening in the Clover Kingdom. The devil's skull back in Asta's home of Hage started to shine, and a number of people throughout the kingdom also started to shine. This was due to the power of the stolen magic stones and Licht activating a reincarnation spell. As Captain Yami was trying to find out more about this phenomenon, Marx and Owen appear in front of him. They then call themselves elves and attack Yami with an incredible amount of power that they'd never shown before.

The effects of the reincarnation spell had affected some of the Royal Knights back at the floating dungeon as well. Luck was fighting alongside Noelle when suddenly, he attacks his friends with extremely powerful magic. Meanwhile, Raia's magic is also enhanced from the spell and suddenly, the captain of the Aqua Deer, Rill, also appears before them. Just like Luck, his personality had changed and he attacks Asta and the others.

The Clover Kingdom is thrown into chaos as people calling themselves "elves" attack. These effects were visible at the Crimson Lion Kings' base, as well. Vice Captain Randall's personality had completely changed and he attacked his comrades. Because of the sheer difference in power, the other members of the Crimson Lion Kings start to give up, but Leopold refuses to do so. As the younger brother of the captains Fuegoleon and Mereoleona, Leopold refuses to lose!

After being surrounded by members of the Royal Knights who were affected by the reincarnation spell, Captain Mereoleona had managed to let Asta and Zora escape. She uses her sheer will and the help of the mana zone to fight the elves. Is it actually possible for her to defeat the elves that hate the humans so much? Meanwhile, after being flung away from the battle, Zora tries to find a way for them to escape, but Asta doesn't like that idea.

Asta was taken deep back into the labyrinth by Raia, who had suddenly appeared. There, he found not only Mimosa, but Klaus, Hamon, and Yuno who had reincarnated as elves. Klaus and Hamon have completely different personalities and they attack Asta. However, Yuno doesn't join the fight yet one way or another. Asta doesn't want to fight his friends and says that he's going to survive and become the Wizard King. That somehow brings out a change in Yuno. Meanwhile, there was someone else watching the battle quietly: Another Licht that looked just like "the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun Licht." Apparently, he is the real Licht, the leader of the elves.

Despite being affected by the reincarnation spell, Yuno was able to regain his consciousness. Asta and Yuno then fight the leader of the elves, Licht. Licht then uses one of Asta's swords and attacks them both. Asta and Yuno are pushed to the edge but they manage to fight back. Meanwhile, another reincarnated elf shows up in Asta and Yuno's home village of Hage and attacks the villagers.

Asta and Yuno get back to their village after an elf had attacked it. They were heading to the royal capital along with Captain Nozel and Noelle, but they saw that their village was in trouble and were given permission to make a detour. In order to protect the villagers, Asta and Yuno face off with the elf. The father that had raised them was able to see how much Asta and Yuno had grown, but...

The Father and the other villagers of Hage Village are attacked by a Magic Knight from the Purple Orcas who had reincarnated as an elf who uses poison plant magic. Asta and Yuno try to save the villagers but they can't seem to find a way to break the spell. During their battle the sword that Licht had taken out of the ground of the floating dungeon suddenly appears out of Asta's grimoire. Asta takes it in hand and realizes that it's much more powerful than he can control easily.

Magna had been training with Vanessa to become more powerful and during their travels they ended up in a town that was being destroyed by none other than Luck from the Black Bulls who had reincarnated as an elf. Magna and Vanessa do everything they can to try to stop Luck but Luck had turned into someone else and attacks them both. And because Vanessa's magic protects all the members of the Black Bulls it kept protecting Luck even though he was someone else inside.

Asta had caught up with Magna and Vanessa with his new sword. Asta tries to work with Magna and Vanessa to save Luck, who had been reincarnated into an elf, but Luck's body had a lot of pent up magical power that was now surging and they have a hard time getting to him. Despite that, Asta and the others try to bring the normal Luck back. Will their feelings get through to their precious friend?

Noelle must think outside the box to gain the upper hand in the pitched battle at House Silva. Thoughts of her mother help her push past her limits.

Finral fights to save his younger brother Langris from the diabolical elf within. Newly reincarnated elves meet with Rhya to discuss their next move.

As the battle at Clover Castle continues the Shadow Palace appears. Captain Yami and Captain Jack get a bad feeling about this, so they try to infiltrate the palace, but Magic Knights who had reincarnated as elves keep getting in their way.

Due to Captain Dorothy's magic, Vanessa, who can use magic to alter fate and Charmy, who can use magic to recover mana had disappeared. Asta and the remaining Black Bulls have lost the bulk of their defense and are now struggling against Gauche and Marie's combo magic being used against them.

Vanessa and her team are able to figure out how to leave Captain Dorothy's Glamour World due to quick thinking on Sally's part, but it's easier said than done. But then Luck gets an idea to help them out. Meanwhile, Asta continues to try to undo the reincarnation spell on Gauche and Marie but can't even get close to them. Henry sees this and decides to make a great sacrifice.

After their last battle, Asta and some of the others decide to chase after Captain Yami and some others who had already headed into the Shadow Palace. However, the elves get in their way. It was then that Captain Fuegoleon and Captain Mereoleona, both who had just awakened, showed off their true powers. Asta and the others are happy to have their help, but then notice that the door to the Shadow Palace closing. In order to get Asta and his group into the palace, the other Black Bulls hold off the elves outside.

The Black Bulls fight off the elves as Asta and the captains head into the Shadow Palace. However, they start to feel cornered from being so run down from one battle after another. It was then that Yuno had finally arrived to save them, bringing other Magic Knights he found throughout the land with him. Yuno hears the situation from Charmy and decides to head into the Shadow Palace, too. However, the entrance was now closed. But then, his pendant starts to react in a strange way

Yuno manages to enter the Shadow Palace with his pendant and runs into Patry and the others. However, his pendant is immediately stolen. Now, all of the necessary magic stones have been collected and the elves' wish was supposed to come true. However, an uninvited guest appears before them: A devil from another world. They find out everything that happened between the elves and humans were actually a part of his plan all along. Yuno can't hide is astonishment at how powerful the devil is as he tries to fight it, and then Asta and Mimosa also arrive!

"When the owner of the four-leaf grimoire is filled with despair, the five-leaf clover grimoire will be born." Patry is filled with despair after learning he had been manipulated by the devil all this time and turns into a dark elf. He then starts attacking Yuno and Asta, fueled by nothing but hatred and malice. Somehow, becoming a dark elf had made Patry even stronger, which gives Yuno and Asta an even harder time fighting him. Then Captain Nozel appears before them. Nozel happens to have the best magical attribute to fight against light magic, mercury magic.

The strange little black bird Nero, who kept following Asta around, suddenly appears before Finral, who had just finished fighting with his brother Langris, and demands that he take them to the Demon's bones back in Hage Village. Finral is obviously startled that Nero's suddenly speaking human words but obliges and takes Nero to the bones and witnesses an unbelievable sight. We will finally find out the true events that befell the elves 500 years ago! Meanwhile, back at the Shadow Palace, the devil's eerie magic fills the room.

To stop the devil from leaving the Shadow Palace Asta, Yuno, and Patry, who had just regained his senses, head to the top floor. Once they get there, they are greeted by the first Wizard King, Lumiere Silvamillion Clover and the one who serves him, Secré Swallowtail。Secré is the true form of the mysterious bird, Nero, and she is a mage that uses a rare magic called sealing magic. She uses her magic to break the seal on Licht, and they are able to witness the true leader of the elves, Licht, and his true powers. An epic battle begins so that Licht and Lumiere can get revenge against the devil.

Licht and Lumiere fight against the devil using incredibly powerful magic. But the devil has incredible regeneration powers and quickly heals himself, making him difficult to defeat. Asta witnesses the two powerful mages fighting and tries to figure out if he can use his anti-magic in a more useful way. He's able to use a new power, but it's so powerful that he's having a hard time controlling it. Meanwhile, Yuno also awakens to a new power... Asta and Yuno, who both aspire to be the future Wizard King, pull off an impressive attack in front of the first Wizard King!

The Shadow Palace begins to shatter, but Asta and the others manage to escape. Meanwhile, the elves continued to attack the kingdom because they still didn't know the truth. Asta is the only one who can undo the resurrection, but it won't be easy to save all of them at once. Patry then frees Vangeance, who's sleeping inside him, so he can use his world tree magic and Licht can use his magic that connects him with all of the elves and Asta is able to undo the resurrection of all the elves at once. Finally, the long battle is coming to an end.

The battle involving the whole Clover Kingdom is finally over. But because of the battle, the kingdom was heavily damaged, so the Magic Knights were busy trying to repair everything. Meanwhile, someone rather unexpected shows up in front of Asta and the others and states three problems that will come up for the Clover Kingdom. Asta and the others are surprised, but just as they were told, someone showed up to try to judge Asta and his devil power.

Asta, who has the power of the devil, and Secré who used forbidden magic and turned into Nero, were called before the Magical Parliament to be judged. Asta maintains his innocence, but Damnatio Kira will do everything he can to probe that Asta is guilty. In order to save Asta and Secré, Yami shows up with the Black Bulls and they cause a ruckus. While the Black Bulls cause trouble, a few others show up.

Because she used forbidden magic, Nero survived for centuries. In the back of her mind, memories from long ago start to replay in her head. From when Nero was still called Secré and when Secré first met the most powerful and talented mage in the Clover Kingdom, Prince Lumiere. They become friends with Licht and the other elves, but due to the evil plans of a devil, the humans end up killing all of Licht's comrades. Because of that, Licht ends up turning into a demon and Lumiere finds him in that state. What will he have to do to protect the ones he loves?

After using forbidden magic in the fight against the devil, Secré turns into a bird and ends up spending centuries all alone. During that time, she ends up meeting Asta, who ends up with Licht's grimoire that has a different devil residing in it. Patry ends up reviving due to resurrection magic, and then he becomes the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun and vows to get revenge. This was all according to the devil's plan and Secré uses her sealing magic to free Lumiere and Licht so they can finish off the devil once and for all along with Asta. The battle comes to an end, and Secré now begins her new life as a member of the Black Bulls.

The Black Bulls return to where their base originally was. Henry has to return the Raging Bull back into their hideout, but apparently, that takes some time. Meanwhile, Yami tells the Black Bulls to go find the magical beasts that escaped from the hideout. They had run away when Rades and the others had attacked the hideout and had been wandering around the forest ever since. There was even a chance that they had returned to their feral states. Their fear comes true, as one Black Bull is attacked after another.

The Black Bulls were ordered by the Wizard King to investigate the devils. Yami takes Asta and Nero and goes to talk to Captain Charlotte of the Blue Rose Knights, since she has experience with forbidden magic and curses. But when they get there, Charlotte suddenly runs off somewhere and they're all in shock. Charlotte had memories of while Charla took over her body and fears that Yami had found out her true feelings and she ended up panicking. But then, she makes a decision.

In order to find out more about the forbidden curse, Asta, Gordon, Grey, and Gauche head to Gordon's house, since he comes from a family of famous curse mages. Once they get there, they can't help but show their wariness towards Gordon's family. But in the end, they end up finding out valuable information while they're there. Meanwhile, Noelle goes to talk to the Dorothy Unsworth, the Captain of the Coral Peacocks, after her brother tells her to talk to her to find out the truth behind their mother's death. Dorothy tells her the name of the devil who had killed her mother, and the same name is spoken by Gordon's grandmother. That devil's name is...

Thanks to Gordon's father, Asta and the others were able to find out that there might be clues surrounding the devils in the Heart Kingdom and manage to get permission to enter the kingdom due to the fact that Mimosa had gone there previously to study overbroad. Asta, Noelle, Finral, Mimosa and Nero head to the Heart Kingdom. Asta and the others initially enjoy their trip there, but something that Langris told Finral had been bugging Finral. Suddenly, Asta and the others are faced with a rather unexpected trial. Will Asta and the other Black Bulls be able to obtain information on the devils?!

Asta and the others manage to meet with the queen of the Heart Kingdom, Loropechika, who had also been chosen by the water spirit, Undine. They are able to confirm that the devil's curse that they spotted in the Heart Kingdom was originating from Loropechika herself and that the devil was in the Spade Kingdom. Meanwhile, Vanessa, Magna, and Luck went to investigate the Diamond Kingdom and find it in ruins after a single mage of the Spade Kingdom had annihilated them. In order to defeat this devil, Loropechika asks Asta and the others for their help.

The Magic Knight Squad Captains decide to have a meeting about the problem with the devils that ended up involving the whole Clover Kingdom. Asta and the others who were in the Heart Kingdom were also summoned and they disclose the information they gathered in front of Julius, Damnatio, and the Captains. After hearing what Asta and the others had to report, Julius tells everyone what they need to do in order to deal with the devil Megicula.

Asta and Yuno are given permission to go home to Hage for a little while. Asta was being called a devil in the papers, but Father, Sister Lily, everyone at the church, as well as the people who even used to make fun of Asta and Yuno because they were orphans, welcomed them home with open arms. Asta and Yuno see that they had gone down the right path and all their hard work wasn't for nothing, and then...

The Black Bulls get a sudden visit from Mereleona and she drags them to the strong magic region of the Yultim Volcano. There, the Crimson Lion Kings, as well as their captain, Fuegoleon, and his younger brother Leopold, were waiting for them. Asta and Noelle remember the hot springs they had visited on their previous trip there. Finding new resolve, Magna, Luck, Charmy, Gordon, and Nero all decide to train in the fiery underground cave of the volcano!

As Asta and the others were chasing the creature that lived in the cave beneath the Yultim Volcano Trail, they happened upon a dungeon. They were then ordered to explore the dungeon by the royal capital, so they split into groups and went in. They head in with Leopold and Vice Captain Randall, but those two end up running into the creature from earlier. They work together but cannot defeat the monster, which makes Leopold feel useless. At that moment, Leopold remembers the strange feeling he felt when he was fighting the elves, and...

Asta and Noelle return to the Black Bulls' hideout only to get taken away by Mereoleona again. The place they were brought this time was the Vermillion estate. Waiting for them there was Captain Fuegoleon, Kirsch, Mimosa, and the sister who looked after the children at the church in Nean, Sister Theresa, who was also known as the former Magic Knight, the Crimson She-Leopard. Asta and Noelle wait in anticipation, wondering if they are going to get a new mission, but what Fuegoleon actually tells them is...

Though their betrothal was decided between their families, Finral tries to become a better man for Finnes' sake. However, his impulse to instantly hit on any girl he happens to see doesn't seem to get better, so he asks Asta to help him train... But they end up going to a mixer. Meanwhile, the members of the Blue Rose Knights want to help Charlotte out with her chances at love and invite Yami to a mixer-like setting at the same pub. What will result from both of these mixers?

Noelle and the other Black Bulls head to Racquey to do some training, when Noelle hears a mysterious voice. Shortly after, the Black Bulls are reunited with Kahono and Kiato. The siblings ask them for help and they head down to the Underwater Temple. There, Gifso explains that a creature called the guardian has gone berserk, so in order to quell its rage, Kahono and Kiato need to present it with their song and dance. Gifso asks the Black Bulls to act as their bodyguards and Yami appoints Noelle and Finral for the job.

Asta and the other Black Bulls continue their training in order to face off with the devil. Charmy is trying to use her cotton magic and her Sheep Cooks to create food to enhance her friends' mana, but she realizes she lacks training. She then decides to seek out someone who can help her. Meanwhile, Gordon is also unhappy with his inability to help his friends, so he decides to go off to train on his own.

Zora wanders off from the rest of the Black Bulls and heads back home to his village to visit his father's grave. He then meets a boy from his village named Ina. Ina idolizes Zara who became the first peasant to become a Magic Knight and was training hard in hopes to be like him someday. But then, Ina is confronted by a noble boy named Kaito, who was visiting the village on vacation, and is told that his dreams are futile. Enraged, Ina tries to fight Kaito, but Zora stops him. Zora then tells Ina a little story.

Vanessa returns home to the Witches' Forest and goes to visit the Queen of Witches. After witnessing the mage from the Spade Kingdom that was possessed by a devil, Vanessa wanted to see if the Queen of Witches could teach her a new spell to help out her teammates. The Queen of Witches tells her she may consider helping her if Vanessa would take two witches under her wing.

Julius asks Marx to do a favor for him. He wanted him to help with creating new magic items as well as take care of some bandits. Marx is accompanied by the former member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Sally, to the Black Bulls' hideout in order to conduct experiments for magic item research. Next, he travels with Captain Fuegoleon and Captain Nozel to investigate the bandits. Apparently, Julius had visited even that faraway town in disguise before...

The Golden Dawn was hard at work trying to get the kingdom back onto its feet. They were trying to make amends for the trouble they had caused while they were possessed. Captain Vangeance puts Alecdora Sandler in charge of a mission. Alecdora can't hide his dislike for Yuno so he tries his best to earn more merit than him.

While the Clover Kingdom was trying to get back onto its feet, the citizens learn that the one behind the destruction of their homes is called the devil, and many of them grew to hate the devil. Some of these people had gathered and created a group called the Devil Banishers. Because the Magic Parliament did not immediately punish the supposed servants of the devil, they decide to go after Asta and Nero and take matters into their own hands.

After being attacked by the Devil Banishers, Nero as well as Gauche's younger sister, Marie, were kidnapped and Asta fell into a mysterious coma. Gauche thinks that maybe the head of the Magic Parliament, Damnatio, may have taken his sister, but Damnatio denies the claim. Damnatio's innocence is proven by using Marx's communication magic, but they learn that there's a possibility that Damnatio's subordinates are behind this incident. Meanwhile, Asta was taken to Owen's clinic and it becomes apparent that the tracking device he had on his arm had disappeared. They then find its signal coming from somewhere rather unexpected.

Julius orders the Black Bulls to save Nero and Marie, so Captain Yami, Noelle, Finral, Gordon and Gauche travel to a certain town along with the captain of the Silver Eagles Nozel, to see if they can find any clues. They try to ask the townspeople for some clues, but it appears that they are less than willing to cooperate because they seem to hold a grudge against the Magic Knights who weren't able to come to their immediate aid after they were attacked by the elves.

The Devil Banishers announce that they will judge Nero and Marie in public. Julius then orders the Black Bulls and other Magic Knights to go rescue them. The Magic Knights place themselves among a crowd that clearly hates the devil, and then the Devil Banishers appear. They then demand that the devil-possessed Asta show himself.

Though the Magic Knights were able to save Marie from the Devil Banishers, Nero is taken once again and Asta's 5-leaf clover grimoire is also stolen. Suddenly, they receive a message from one of Damnatio's subordinates and learn the true identities of the Devil Banishers and Julius orders the Black Bulls yet again to save Nero. The Black Bulls begin their investigation in the town where they think the Devil Banishers were gathering. Will they be able to find out what the enemy's true motive?

Asta, Noelle, and Magna manage to catch up to the Devil Believers who had taken Nero. But they find that the Devil Believers have now grown in numbers. Magna goes back to tell Yami of the situation. Asta and Noelle are left behind and try to do what they can to save Nero. But it appears that the Devil Believers have made up their minds on achieving their goal, even if it costs them their lives.

Asta and Noelle are captured along with Nero and they head toward the strong magic region near the border when Captain Yami and Magna arrive. Captain Fuegoleon and Captain Nozel also show up, causing the Devil Believers to panic. The captains try to talk to the Devil Believers, but their distrust for them is just too strong. The Devil Believers try to bring their powers together in order to face the Magic Knight captains.

Secre remembers that a magic tool was being developed in the past that would help to end the discrimination against those who have little or no magic.

Grey is determined to get over her shyness to connect with her friends and asks Gauche to help her.

The Magic Knight squad captains split into two teams to show how they are able to protect the kingdom.

The previous years new recruits are attending the current Magic Knight Entrance Exam and they reflect on what they have experienced during the last year. Something is returned to Yuno.

The Captains  send Asta, Fineral, Luck, Nero, Noelle, Mimosa, and Leopold for Heart Kingdom training. While there, they attend a special award ceremony to honor knights who performed great deeds.

When rumors spread that Yuno is going to be the next Golden Dawn Vice-Captain, Langris Vaude the current Golden Dawn Vice Captain decides to challenge the new Senior Magic Knight.

The Magic Knights after having concluded their travel from the Clover kingdom to the Heart kingdom and start their training with the 5 Spirit Guardians.

Mereoleona agrees to train Yami; the Spade Kingdom continues with their invasion.

Months after arriving at the Heart Kingdom, Asta has become more powerful due to his training with the Spirit Guardians. Gaja asks Asta how he obtained the Five-Leafed Grimoire.

After six months of intense training, Asta and his fellow knights are called on when the Spade Kingdom invades in the Diamond Kingdom.

Sister Lily helps a mysterious stranger towards recovery while Charmy keeps attempting to eat all the available food.

Ralph tells Yuno to examine his past and the Golden Dawn's headquarters comes under attack.

Yono's fight against Gaderois continues while Gaderois brags about killing his comrades.

While the Golden Dawn recovers from the attack, other Dark Triad members commence with their plans.

Vanica and her team continue with their assault on the Heart Kingdom; Captain Yami and Dante's fight continues.

An attack is launched as Noelle and the others are training; Asta contemplates making a deal with his inner demon in order to get a boost in power in order to fight Dante.

Yami and Vangeance are taken to the Spade Kingdom so that the ritual to open the  gate to the underworld can begin. Despite how hurt he is, Asta tries to escape the imfirmary to go and save Yami, however he is stopped by a mage named Nacht Faust, who also happens to be a devil-possessed.

With time running out, the hero's must find a boost in their powers in just two days, Asta is pitted against his inner devil.

After his inner devil is summoned in a ritual, Asta must win the battle against him if he hopes to regain his power.
