The New Adventures of Old Christine

Christine's 8-year-old son, Ritchie has been accepted into a posh private school where Christine encounters two snooty class moms, Marly and Lindsay, who can't seem to grasp the concept that Christine actually works. Her 20-something slacker brother, Matthew, lives with her, but in a pinch, also serves as Ritchie's babysitter. On the first day at Ritchie's new school, Christine is mortified to discover that her ex-husband, Richard, with whom she gets along even better than when they were married, is dating a young, nice, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine -- the "new" Christine.

When Christine learns that Richard and "new" Christine are enjoying an intimate relationship, she becomes determined to make her own conquests. After several failed attempts to meet eligible men, she finally runs into a guy named Stan at the grocery store. Unbeknownst to Christine, Stan is a father at Ritchie's school who is known as "Sad Dad."

Richie is dreading his first swimming lesson, until Matt decides to take him. Barb sets Christine up on a blind date.

Christine is going on her fifth date with Burton. Richard tries to sabotage things.

Christine and Burton have gone on ten dates so now it's time for the next step.

Christine sponsors an African American family at Richie's school without realising they are homophobic.

Christine finds herself at a loose end when she forgets that she has swapped nights taking care of Richie. Things go from bad to worse when she tries to go out for dinner by herself.

Christine meets a woman at Richie's school who has similar feelings about the snobby mothers who judge her.

Christine runs into Burton while signing up for the school fair.

Christine and Richard agree to get back together. Then she meets Ritchie's new teacher.

Christine helps New Christine and Richard get back together. Meanwhile, she meets a hot older man.

Christine freaks out when she realises she is dating New Christine's dad.

Richard and New Christine take Ritchie to church, which prompts Christine to take him to church herself.

Barb and Pete decide to split up. Christine thinks Barb should be more depressed.

Christine gets together with Stan again. There's one reason that he's irresistible. Yes, he's a champ!

At the school gala, Christine wins a playdate for Ritchie with Mr Harris. When Ritchie can't attend the playdate, Christine meets Mr Harris instead.

Christine has to work out how she will pay for Ritchie's tuition when the cost increases.

Ritchie hasn't finished his Mission project so Christine and Matthew stay up all night to finish it before the deadline.

Now that Barb is a co-owner at the gym, she and Christine have some issues to work out.

Christine and Marly have problems when they have a car crash in the school carpark.

When Mr Harris suggests that Ritchie needs to widen his social circle, Christine and Richard get him into soccer. Ritchie makes three friends, all girls. Richard is concerned about this until Ritchie's friends become his 'wives'.

Christine has trouble with her sleep schedule after she starts opening the gym at 6am. Matthew struggles with a recent break up. Richard tries to interest Ritchie in carpentry.

Christine upsets New Christine when she takes credit for Richard's birthday gift. Big issues arise as the women compete for Richard's gratitude.

Christine is prescribed sleeping pills to help with her sleeplessness. She makes a series of embarrassing phone calls which she doesn't remember, and ends up on another date with Burton.

Richard's brother makes a confession to Christine after an awkward kiss.

Christine tries to set an example to Ritchie in regards to politics and the environment.

Christine accidentally sends a dirty email about Mr Harris to all the parents in the school, which nearly costs him his job.

Matthew has to convince Christine that Richard has matured over the years and she needs to stop treating him like she did years ago, when he becomes a contractor for Lindsay.

Christine inadvertently ruins a friend's wedding when he says her name when toasting the bride. Richard tells new Christine he doesn't want to get married again.

Christine, Richard, Matthew and Barb go to a motel to be close to where Ritchie is on his first school camping trip. After giving Richard some bad advice about new Christine, Christine and Richard end up in bed together. Meanwhile, some unresolved sexual tension re-emerges between Barb and Matthew when the car breaks down and they are stuck overnight.

Christine is worried she is pregnant after her night with Richard.

Christine and Mr Harris prepare for their first night together.

Christine thinks about having plastic surgery as she thinks Mr Harris is too good-looking for her. Richard accidentally proposes to new Christine in a phone message.

Christine makes a new parent friend at Ritchie's school.

Christine's life is so busy she doesn't have time for Daniel.

Christine struggles with the aftermath of her break-up with Daniel. Meanwhile, Matthew meets with a therapist and struggles with some revelations about his relationship with Christine.

Christine agrees to be fixed up but there is a significant age difference between her and the man.

Christine takes a leaf out of Oprah's book.

Barb points out that Christine never finishes anything she starts, so Christine decides to prove her wrong.

Christine forbids Barb and Matthew from seeing each other after she finds out they slept together.

Christine is experiencing some interesting symptoms, so her gynecologist thinks she may be perimenopausal. Barb gives her some special cream, which has a strange effect on Christine.

Barb finds out she will be deported now that she is divorced. Richard proposes to new Christine.

Richard asks Christine for her engagement ring back so he can give it to new Christine. Matthew falls in love with his first therapy patient.

Ritchie wants to join the Reptile Club, so Christine has to go out on a date with a reptile specialist.

When Ritchie decides he no longer wants to say "I love you" to Christine, she asks Richard to get her pregnant again.

Christine and Barb meet some guys at the video store, but Christine doesn't want to be tied down.

Christine brings Richard along on a date with her new boyfriend, which puts him off.

Ritchie is chosen for a commercial audition, but he is more interested in going for his yellow belt in karate.

Christine tries to prove her new boyfriend is crazy. Matthew realises his new girlfriend looks a lot like Christine.

Everyone spends Thanksgiving at Christine and Matthew's parents' house but there is no sign of their father.

Christine and Barb lose their gym franchise when the company finds out they are married. Richard tells New Christine he has had a vasectomy.

Christine and Barb decide to turn their gym into a spa but soon find out about some inappropriate activities going on there. Richard makes friends with the female volunteers at Richie's school, but his manly advice gets the women in trouble.

Christine goes to a meeting at Richie's new school where she runs into a man who spread dirty rumours about her in high school.

Christine and Barb take New Christine to Vegas for her bachelorette party. Richard asks Matthew to be his best man which upsets his brother Joe.

When Barb and Matthew move out of Christine's at the same time, she tries to prove that she is fine without them. Meanwhile, Matthew sees a new side of Lucy.

On the day of New Christine and Richard's wedding, Christine hooks up with Papa Jeff again. Then she meets his fiance.

Christine and Matthew head to the Bahamas to get Barb an illegal visa. Richard begs New Christine for another chance.

Barb and Matthew visit new Christine who, after seeming to be dealing with the break-up well, becomes even angrier with Richard. Christine organises  a catch-up with some old college buddies.

Richard and New Christine disagree over who gets to stay in the house. Old Christine has a terrible time as an uninsured health care patient.

Richard and Barb make plans for their wedding. Christine decides to sue Barb for alimony. Meanwhile, Lindsay and Marly want Matthew to be their therapist.

Matthew hires and then fires Christine as his temp secretary. Richard and New Christine struggle with their living arrangements.

Christine thinks she is the popular one when Ritchie is asked to the school dance by the most popular girl in school. Meanwhile, Richard and Matthew find a new apartment together.

Max points out to Christine that she quits anything when it gets too hard (remember when Barb told her the same thing?). Matthew and Richard don't quite see eye to eye when it comes to being roommates.

Christine and Richard set each other up on dates.

Worried that Dave is going to propose to her, Barb gets Christine to join them on their date. New Christine wants Richard to woo her or she will look elsewhere.

Richie is exhibiting bullying behaviour. Christine feels responsible as she bullied someone on junior high. She only makes things worse when she tries to make amends.

Christine and Matthew attend a neighbour's Christmas party. New Christine gets Richard and Richie involved in her unusual holiday tradition.

Christine tells her therapist she's in love with him. Meanwhile, Richard tries to live vicariously through Matthew.

Christine goes out on a date with Mr Harris at Max's urging. Max then finds out from Matthew, Barb and Richard what a catch Mr Harris is.

As Richard and New Christine prepare for their new baby, Christine decides to ask Richard to father another child for her. Christine tries to show her support for New Christine by gifting her some of Richie's baby items.

Christine and Barb have finally made money at the gym and Christine doesn't know what to spend her share on. Matthew discovers Richard has a new job.

Christine chaperones Richie's class on a school trip, but manages to get stuck in the subway station. Barb drives her car through the front of Christine's house when texting.

Christine plans to take Richie on a family vacation to Florida but things don't go as planned.

Old Christine takes New Christine to a salon to prepare for her impromptu wedding.

Christine decides she needs to make some changes in her life when her five-year car lease is up.

Matthew agrees to stay with Christine after she is warned about a prowler in the neighborhood. New Christine tries to avoid her baby being born on Christine's birthday.

Christine meets Max's ex-wife at their "surprise" engagement party. New Christine won't let Richard hold their baby.
