Palmer captures Harm and makes a mask of his face, so that he can impersonate him. Palmer, the imitation Harm, goes to a hearing, where he tries to kill a Marine officer accused of violating a weapons treaty. Bud gives Harriet some jewelry.

The Marine Corps returns the remains of a WW2 codetalker to a Navajo cemetery, but a native medicine woman denies that the remains are his. Harm, Mac, Bud, and Harriet investigate. Truth emerges, and Harm proposes an acceptable compromise.

In Italy an F-14D Tomcat has a midair collision with a civilian helo; six locals die. The Italian government wishes to prosecute the Navy pilot for manslaughter. Mac prosecutes; Harm and Bud defend and persist, and the truth becomes known.

Bud Sr. and Mike (Bud's father and younger brother) travel to Washington for Bud and Harriet's wedding. Bud Sr. leaves insults, injuries, and hurt feelings in his wake; Harriet's mother also causes much discomfort and embarrassment. Bud passes a big career milestone with grace and empathy. A dry cleaner loses Harm's dress whites, but Harm finds them in an unusual place. The girls go to Harriet's party, then Mac bails Harm, Bud, and the admiral out of a DC jail after Bud's party. Bud Sr. skips the beautiful wedding, and Mike arrives late.

Based on a tip from Agent Webb, Harm and Mac pursue the whereabouts of his long lost father in Russia, stealing a Russian fighter along the way.

After having the plane they stole shot out from under them, Harm and Mac continue the search for Harm's father.

Harm and Mac attend a reception at the Sudanese embassy, where the guard force appears to take over, but Harm and Mac find that the takeover is a scam. Harm puts the word out to the world. A lethal virus turns up, but everything works out.

A Japanese man accuses a US Naval officer of raping his teenage daughter. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate; a rear admiral applies political pressure. The Japanese conduct a trial, which goes poorly until a witness eventually steps forward.

Terrorists in the Persian Gulf attack a US Naval warship, killing five sailors. Upon the arrival of one prisoner in the USA, a Marine on a guard detail shoots him. Mac and Bud prosecute for murder, and Harm defends. Surprises abound.

Two F-14 Tomcats encounter two MiGs in a no-fly zone above Iraq, and one of the Tomcats goes down in action; nobody dies. Harm and Mac investigate. The pilot of the surviving Tomcat misses a shot, saying that "a voice" told him not to fire.

A TV-news network airs a report alleging that a Marine team has used sarin gas to assassinate three renegade US civilians working at a plant producing chemical WMDs for Saddam Hussein. Harm advises Rep. Bobbi Latham and her House inquiry.

Mac and a former CO, mentor, and lover go on trial for conspiracy and the murder of her long-estranged husband. Cdr. Ted Lindsey prosecutes, Harm defends Mac, and Mic and Bud defend Mac. Harm and Mic clash over defense strategy.

LCdr. Jack Keeter, a friend of Harm, has unexpectedly landed a stealth spy aircraft in Iran; the Iranian government has announced its intent to prosecute him for espionage. Harm, Mac, and Mic go to Iran, investigate, and intercede.

In the Appalachian Mountains the OiC of a SEAL team takes and returns fire and kills a 14-year-old boy. The OiC goes back and investigates, but the locals try him for murder in a "people's court"; Harm and Mac follow and defend him.

A five-year-old abused girl dies during a field trip to a Naval museum in Washington, DC. Harm, taking a strong personal interest, investigates. He and LCdr. Coulter find many answers plus the victim's twin sister. Bud passes the bar exam.

Bud takes an oath as a member of the JAG Corps. Aboard an aircraft carrier a series of major engineering casualties severely interfere with flight operations. Harm and Mac investigate, and they figure it out, then Harm takes a ride.

Bud receives a promotion from lieutenant (junior grade) to full lieutenant; then Bud Sr. enters in uniform, announces that the Navy has recalled him to active duty to try him at a court-martial (for larceny and wrongful disposition of government property), and he asks Bud to defend him. Harm prosecutes, Bud defends, and Bud Sr. assaults and batters a government witness. Bud proves to be a vigorous and aggressive adversary at trial. Bud and Harriet throw a wetdown party at Murphy's Tavern.

After a call from a priest, Mac sees her dying estranged father and her estranged mother as well. Mac feels and expresses much anger and frustration, yet she reaches some resolution with each of them. Harm gets laser surgery on his eyes.

The admiral gets help from the gang to prepare him to argue a case before the Supreme Court of the US, but the case suddenly becomes moot. Meanwhile Clark Palmer plays head games with Harm, involving LCdr. Jordi Parker as well; Harm wins.

Terrorists in Italy have kidnapped a CIA agent, who is important to both Webb and the admiral; Webb has begun efforts to rescue him, and he draws in the admiral. The two go to Italy and ply their craft. It's new-car time in Washington.

Harm requests a change back to a Naval aviator. Chloe makes pithy comments about boys and relationships. Bud prosecutes a Marine staff sergeant about her pregnancy. Two women give birth. Harm and Mac exchange contingent promises.

Harm works with NCIS to track down Annie's killer. He then receives new orders to resume his career as a naval aviator and he leaves JAG.

Harm serves as a pilot and legal officer for his squadron aboard a carrier. Friction develops between him and a hotshot pilot who makes a mistake on a mission. Back at JAG, a Marine weapons instructor is prosecuted for carelessly firing a new weapon system while drunk. GySgt. Galindez joins the JAG office to help with administrative errors that have accumulated since Harriet has been on leave.

Mac flies to the carrier to investigate and prosecute in the killing of the Russians in the preceding episode; Bud and Mic soon join at sea, Bud to help Mac, and Mic to help Harm, who defends X-man. Justice prevails in an unexpected way.

A petty officer smuggles a pregnant Albanian woman aboard Harm's carrier; Harm helps with the defense of the sailor at trial. Harm does some good flying, but the CAG nudges Harm back toward the JAG Corps. The gunny starts his new duties.

Harm returns. On the bridge of a Naval vessel at sea, a jaygee, who is the son of the SecNav, fails and refuses to obey a direct order from his CO. The defendant insists on going to trial. Mic prosecutes, and Harm and Bud defend.

Harm receives his second DFC. Mic prosecutes a sailor accused of smuggling marijuana, and Mac defends; Harm and Bud seek a witness and rescuer who disappeared after an attempted rape. Chemistry and talk occur among Harm, Mac, and Mic.

At a psychic-research lab a subject, a lieutenant, wakes up and jumps to his death. The admiral in charge faces a court-martial for manslaughter and dereliction; Mac and Bud prosecute, and Harm defends. Mac has an enlightening experience.

The DoD has hired a retired SEAL to test physical security arrangements; his methods are extreme. He captures a submarine and takes her to sea. Bud serves as the official observer; Harm lends a hand. Gunny meets resistance and resentment.

Olivia Dunston, wife of Marine Colonel Dunston stationed in Panama, is accused of smuggling drugs, and her weak denials convince Mac that she is guilty.

A newspaper prints an op-ed piece, contemptuous of the PotUS (and a violation of the UCMJ), which first appears to have come from Harm's office computer; Harm figures it out. Meanwhile Mac encounters an unusual question about childbearing.

A disabled Tomcat crashes and burns during an emergency landing aboard a carrier. Mac and Mic investigate; they later prosecute Skates, the LSO, for dereliction. Harm defends; while researching he and Bud meet resistance. Justice prevails.

Again at The Wall at Christmas, Harm meets Jenny Lake, a singer who, as a member of a USO troupe, entertained aboard Harm's father's carrier. She tells about their brief friendship. The JAG characters play other roles during flashbacks.

Harm and Mac advise students at a naval high-school academy during a mock trial based on an old case in the Navy. The students continue to investigate, and they find a witness not previously interviewed; he gives enlightening testimony.

Mac represents a Marine condemned to death in his final appeal; Mic gets recalled to Australia.

While Harm and Mac investigate a murder aboard a ship at sea, Harm becomes trapped with two others inside the brig; a collision causes many problems, including flooding of the compartment. Harm solves the crime and becomes rescued.

A petty officer apparently was murdered during a visit by USS Chicago to Sydney, Australia, 28 years ago; the dead man has reappeared, become arrested, and asked to see a JAG officer of the USN. Harm, Bud, and Mac all wind up there.

The admiral unexpectedly arrives in Sydney, and the adventure continues. Mic prosecutes the US former petty officer, and Harm defends. Bud sustains an injury, and courtroom fireworks ensue. The JAG gang take the deserter back to the US.

Gunny and a Marine buddy stumble into a tussle near a gay bar; the gunny hits another man while helping to defend his friend. A court-martial finds him not guilty, but a civilian prosecutor also puts him on trial. The admiral defends him.

In Korea during the Korean War 23 Koreans died due to gunfire by US soldiers. The civilian press in the USA has refreshed accusations of an unjustified massacre. Harm, Mac, and others fly to Seoul to investigate; a hijacking interferes.

A displeased woman seaman "quits" and walks away; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. She argues that her recruiter promised her training and a rating which she has not gotten. Bud makes an announcement, and the admiral makes a date.

During training five newbies and a jumpmaster jump from an aircraft; the jumpmaster signals the jump too soon; two trainees land in a lake, and one of them sustains an injury and soon dies. Mac and Harm prosecute, and Bud and Loren defend.

Mac has gone incognito at a Seabee center to investigate a charge of rape among Wiccan worship and training; Harm and Bud join her, and they prosecute; a civilian lawyer defends. The admiral and others have trouble with a plaster pyramid.

A civilian salvage operator announces his intent to claim, seize, and recover the wreckage of a US submarine which the Japanese battle fleet sank on 05 December 1941 while en route to attack Pearl Harbor. The admiral represents the USA.

Lt. Rivers, a SEAL, challenges a man who claims to be a former SEAL; the other man swings at Rivers, who then slugs him. Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. Rivers and Harm also flush out another impostor. The admiral receives an invitation.

While reviewing old convictions Harm obtains a new trial for a man convicted of murder but ineffectively represented; the convict is LCdr. Teresa Coulter's father, and the victim was her mother. Harm and Bud figure out what happened.

Bud's brother, PO Mikey Roberts is accused of mistakenly firing upon a boat loaded with Marines during an exercise.

Harm goes to Russia to help in reforming Russian military law; however, complications arise. Mac and Bud prosecute a Naval officer for espionage, then she too goes to Moscow. Harriet gets a small surprise, and Harm gets a large one.

Harm is distraught when his newly discovered half-brother, Sergei, is framed for a crime punishable by death, while Mac arrives in Russia to prevent a presidential assassination.

A US frigate rescues and takes aboard a 12-year-old Cuban girl clinging to floating debris; internal and international squabbling ensues. Harm and Bud fly out and lend a hand. The girl takes some big steps. Mac and Mic talk more.

Harm and Bud investigate a crash of an F-14 while it leaves a civilian upgrade facility; they find irregularities. Mic, now a civilian lawyer in Washington, represents the vendor. The admiral tries hard to give Sydney a happy birthday.

A love triangle leads to the death of a teenage girl, and a woman Naval officer goes on trial for murder. On live TV Mac and Bud prosecute, and one of Mac's law professors defends. Harm investigates an apparent suicide aboard a carrier.

A sailor on overseas duty in an Arabic nation falls in love with a local girl; he smuggles her into the USA and marries her. She turns out to be a princess; Mac represents her in an Islamic tribunal in Arlington. Harriet goes into labor and there is trouble.

RAdm. Boone has become nominated to serve as ComSixthFleet and to get his third star. Days before the Senate confirmation hearing, SecNav receives an anonymous hotline tip alleging war crimes in Vietnam by Boone; Harm and Mac investigate.

RAdm. Boone goes on trial for murder of civilians in a village in South Vietnam. Mac and Bud prosecute, and Harm and Loren defend. Webb produces a surprise witness with surprising testimony. Meanwhile RAdm. Chegwidden gets back his SUV.

A Marine sergeant major, on trial for attempted murder, invokes a supernatural event; Bud prosecutes, and Harm defends. A priest from the Vatican investigates the alleged involvement of a chaplain who died during a firefight in Vietnam.

During night flight ops a sailor falls overboard from a carrier; Harm and Bud investigate, suspect murder, identify a suspect, and prosecute him. Mac defends a Marine for bigamy, which turns into polygamy. The admiral finds another car.

A Russian nuclear submarine sinks while submerged with a US nuclear submarine nearby. The Russian government learns that the fault for the sinking lies with the Russians, but the officials seek to blame the US anyway. The US submarine leaders know what took place, but they feel reluctant to reveal that, because to do so would disclose an important advantage. After two surprising twists Mac takes a ride aboard a US submarine, and Harm takes one aboard a Russian submarine.

Mic represents a civilian wrongfully jailed in a Navy brig; he settles with Harm and Bud. Gunny goes to New Mexico to pick up a Marine who disappeared after service in the Korean War. The admiral goes fishing and winds up in a firefight.

Terrorists aboard a service boat approach a USN destroyer in a port in the Mideast; a security team stops the boat and finds explosives and a woman Marine sergeant. Harm and Mac investigate. The suspect volunteers for a task for the CIA.

In Mazatlan, Mexico, Mike, Bud's brother, becomes involved in a barroom fight with a local, who later dies. Harm and Bud, with help from Bud Sr., eventually discover the cause. Mac successfully defends a Marine bulldog in a paternity suit.

A Marine sergeant in prison needs Harm's help again when his prints are found on a murder weapon.

Representative Latham and another ride an MV-22 Osprey aircraft; just above the sea a minor mishap occurs. Latham holds an inquiry, and Harm and Mac take part. Harriet investigates an old case of innocence. The guys start planning a party.

LCdr. Jordi Parker, one of Harm's former girlfriends, dies under suspicious circumstances. For a while NCIS regards Harm as a suspect. Mac, Bud, LCdr. Teresa Coulter, and, later, Harm investigate. The admiral helps Danny to make a choice.

RAdm. Chegwidden holds an engagement party for Mac and Mic. Harm and Mac take part in frank and profound communication amid a parade of incisive and revealing flashbacks. Bud runs into some trouble, and Harriet receives a gift of gold.

Harm misses Mac's rehearsal and dinner by doing his semiannual carquals, then he and Skates eject from an F-14 Tomcat at night during a storm at sea. A rescue helo picks up Skates, but Harm remains unfound in the rough sea.

A rescue helo has picked up Skates, but Harm remains adrift in the sea. With Mac's uncanny help, a Viking finds Harm's life-raft, then a helicopter finds Harm, but his condition is critical. Mac declines to set another date, then Mic returns to Oz.

Mac postpones her wedding indefinitely, and Mic returns to Oz. Mac seeks TAD out of town, so the admiral sends her and Gunny to investigate the disappearance of a Marine major from a ship in the Indian Ocean. Harm heals and gives a ride.

The admiral helps to solve a problem for an unexpected visitor. In the Indian Ocean, Mac and Gunny investigate a death; Mac prosecutes, and Harm shows up, defends, and figures it out. Friction heats up between Harm and a civilian attorney.

In Indonesia a girl complains of rape by a Marine who protects a consulate. The police seize him, and Mac flies in; she functions as a lawyer and a Marine. An angry mob besieges the consulate. Harm and Loren defend a SEAL for a heroic act.

An intruder shoots three Navy people, killing two. One of the dead is a friend of Harm, who protects his reputation. Webb, counter-espionage, and disinformation are involved; Bud solves it. Mac and Renee return to town; Mac leaves again.

Harm defends an old friend against improper fraternization; while investigating, he finds something affecting national security, then he too faces serious questions. Mac helps a woman Naval officer with a case involving child abuse.

During a UN peacekeeping campaign a Marine captain, exceeding written rules of engagement, orders his team into an ambush, which kills six Marines. Sturgis prosecutes, and Harm and Bud defend. Mac investigates an unlikely peeping tom.

The JAG gang take part in a JAGathon, a charity-benefit marathon, which provides opportunities for personal pride and individual competitiveness. Sturgis feels uncertain, and Harm defends a sailor for impersonating an officer.

A Chinese MiG collides with an EP-3 Orion aircraft on a recon mission; the Orion lands at a Chinese airfield. Harm and RAdm. Boone go to China; they reclaim the crew but not the bird. An escort pilot takes matters into his own hands.

Harm, RAdm. Boone, and the Orion crew arrive aboard the carrier, as does the rogue pilot, who then faces a court-martial. Harm and Bud defend him. Mac passes a test, and she investigates demeaning behavior toward a woman Marine officer.

Amid much activity at Christmas, a woman petty officer in disguise runs afoul of the law, Harm takes her into custody and to a party, and she stays with Mac. Harm's rebuilt Corvette briefly disappears, and Webb gives him a surprise.

A woman Naval officer fails to keep an appointment with Mac and Sturgis; they search for her, then find her body. A suspect points them to smuggled uranium and a rogue terrorist group. Harm investigates a mishap at sea; Sergei meets Loren.

A teenage boy spits at the admiral, who slaps him on tape, and an uproar follows; however, the false denials and other lies of the boy overtake him. Harm defends a SEAL officer who disobeys orders by going back to recover a fallen mate.

A Navy hospital corpsman goes on trial for the murder of a Marine during a field exercise; Mac prosecutes, Harm defends, and Bud serves and argues on the jury but later has second thoughts. Sturgis helps a submarine family stay together.

Harm and Mac go to Saudi Arabia to defend Lieutenant Stephanie Donato, a female naval aviator who flies C-130 Hercules while serving with the U.S. Air Force, but refuses to wear the Abaya when off-base.

Harm and Mac go to sea during wartime operations. Harm flies the next mission, hits the target, and draws enemy fire; his aircraft sustains damage, but he safely returns. Bud runs into trouble at work, and Sturgis becomes closer to Bobbi.

The admiral orders a hearing about the allegedly inadequate defense by Bud in the previous episode. Sturgis prosecutes, and Harm defends. Harm discovers why Bud did not find a key witness and an alibi. The admiral meets an intriguing lady.

A retired chief petty officer seeks a new trial about his involvement in an alleged mutiny after a disastrous explosion in 1944. Loren prosecutes, and Sturgis defends. Sturgis's father takes part. Harriet buys a house without telling Bud.

By order of the PotUS a military tribunal takes place aboard a ship at sea. The defendant is a top member of the Al Qaeda. Harm and Mac prosecute, and the admiral and Sturgis defend. Loren, as the senior officer, runs the place her own way.

A Navy judge stands accused of vehicular homicide. Mac and Sturgis prosecute; Harm defends. Harm discovers the real cause of the wreck. Webb continues to pursue a terrorist, and Loren continues to promote trouble between Bud and Harriet.

Harm and Mac in Afghanistan investigate a failed air strike against a leader of the Al Qaeda, and they encounter problems. Bud at sea successfully interrogates a suspect by using Star Trek concepts. Harriet makes an impression on Loren.

The clock is ticking down with every minute vital as the JAG team take the lead on the terrorist case.

Bud has lost his right lower leg due to a mine in Afghanistan; during emergency surgery he faces bad trouble. Sturgis returns to Washington, and Harm and Mac disobey an order from the admiral. Bud encounters an astounding change of course.

A US Marine deserts his unit and joins the Israeli Army, then faces a trial in the USA. Bud returns from overseas, gets a Purple Heart and a warm welcome (from everyone except his father), then starts his rehab. Loren gets transfer orders.

A Marine stands accused of fatally shooting his wife. Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. Bud and his father have trouble with Bud's condition, but each starts to cope. Nearly everyone gives Loren a happy farewell; Sergei returns to Russia.

A deputy sheriff dies while chasing a car carrying two SEALs in a Navy exercise. The driver stands trial for negligent homicide. Bud goes home, the new SecNav takes office, and Harm takes Meredith for a thrilling flight.

A RIO dies of hypoxia, traced to contaminated oxygen. Mac prosecutes the PO apparently at fault, Harm makes a poor defense, and Sturgis takes over. Harm runs into more trouble, but he finds the truth. Bud resents Harriet's protectiveness.

A woman CO gives bad marks on a fitrep of a man officer below her, and he accuses her of sexual harassment. Mac and Sturgis prosecute, Harm and Tracy defend, and Harm learns what the CO has hidden. Bud and the admiral have ups and downs.

As a favor from Congresswoman Lillian Dorning, SECNAV Sheffield asks the JAG staff to get the story of a submarine, USS Angel Shark (SSGN-559), which was lost on a CIA mission in 1968.

A general stands trial for alleged disobedience and reckless endangerment during a war game. Sturgis prosecutes, Harm defends, and Mac sits on the bench. A piece of evidence turns up at the 11th hour. Bud and Harriet hold a reception.

Loren seeks trials for several crewmembers after a mishap at sea. Loren is pregnant, and she refuses to name the father. Harm conducts a second investigation, and Mac replaces Loren. Tracy lends a hand; Meredith and Bud help each other.

Harm works with Italian authorities to track down a serial killer that Interpol believes is a U.S. seaman.

Christmas Eve events conspire to prevent the JAG team from spending Christmas Day together at Bud and Harriet's.

A general demands to know why his daughter died during surgery, then he stands accused of improperly influencing the testimony of a witness. Harm prosecutes, Mac defends, and Mac finds the real cause of the death. Bud receives a welcome letter.

A Navy lieutenant ostensibly blows a whistle on an allegedly defective high-tech combat system; Mac helps him to resign, but she discovers his dishonest plot, and she helps justice to prevail. Harm meets a little old lady by accident.

A Navy pilot drops a bomb on a British position, killing three soldiers and injuring others. In a court-martial he faces charges of involuntary homicide and dereliction of duty. Mac and Bud prosecute, Sturgis defends, and Harm presides.

When Harm takes Admiral Chegwidden for a ride in a F-14 Tomcat, AJ must fight for survival after accidentally being ejected into a heavily forested area, blanketed in a snowstorm.

Sturgis finds a missing nuclear torpedo; Harm finds missing cash and figures out a framing and other irregularities in a disbursing office aboard a carrier. The admiral continues to recover, and he names his new dog. Sarah runs the shop.

The admiral returns. A Marine pilot and his wife become suspected of taking part in human trafficking. Harm and PO Coates find the truth, and justice prevails. The SecNav sends Cdr. Ted Lindsey to investigate the office; Ted grinds his ax.

A Navy hero returns from Uzbekistan and faces charges of a fraudulent enlistment because he is a man previously thought to have died on 9/11. The SecNav receives a rebuttal from RAdm. Chegwidden, then fires Cdr. Lindsey and throws him out.

A Boy Scout finds the decomposing body of Lt. Loren Singer in a tree. The NCIS investigates, and Harm becomes the prime suspect. The NCIS finds not only surprises about the death but also circumstantial evidence pointing straight to Harm.

NCIS Agent Gibbs continues his investigation on the terrorist, Amad Bin Atwa to avert another attack on a Navy ship. Harm is court-martialed for the murder of Lt. Singer.

Harm returns. Bud does poorly in representing Sturgis, who stands accused of giving inadequate counsel. The admiral tries hard to propose to Meredith. Mac poses as Webb's pregnant wife while undercover for the CIA in Paraguay.

With Mac undercover and out-of-touch, Harm turns to CIA attorney Catherine Gale (from "Need to Know") for help. Harm also plays along when she asks him to pose as her boyfriend in front of Gale's mother who is dying of heart failure.

Webb and Mac are prisoners of a dealer in Paraguay, where the bad guys torture Webb. Harm goes there to rescue Mac. Gunny tails Harm, they meet, and they attack. Gunny drives Webb to a hospital, and Harm and Mac destroy stored missiles.

Gunny takes Webb to a hospital, Harm and Mac survive a "hard landing", and they all rejoin in the city. Harm and Mac chase the Islamic drugs-and-arms dealer but fail to catch him; the two continue to examine and discuss their relationship.

Webb, Mac, and Harm return from Paraguay. A sailor became MiA in the Gulf War 12 years before, and she reappears as a member of a nomadic tribe. Bud investigates in Iraq, then he prosecutes, and Mac defends. Harm interviews with the CIA.

Harm, with a former client, flies for the CIA; they fix a problem in the Philippines, and they escape. Harriet has given birth to another son, and she and Bud hold a christening party. Midn. Mike Roberts helps a friend at the Naval Academy.

A Marine faces a charge of dereliction after becoming lost in Iraq in a sandstorm; Sturgis prosecutes, and Mac defends. Harm flies again for the CIA, aboard a spy plane for a training hop, which turns into a real mission over North Korea.

With foreign civilian passengers Harm and Beth land a damaged C-130 aboard USS Seahawk. A Navy seaman, having converted to the Islamic faith, stands accused of taking part in al-Qaeda activities; Sturgis and Bud prosecute, and Mac defends.

Cdr. Imes never passed a bar exam; she goes on trial for fraud and conduct unbecoming; Sturgis prosecutes, and Mac and Bud defend. Harm flies as a crop-duster. Coates tries to get the admiral to take Harm back. Harm and the admiral meet.

Sturgis helps a US submarine with 10 survivors of the sinking of a North Korean midget submarine, and Harm helps (as do Mac and the admiral) an underprivileged WW2-era Navy veteran with a legal problem. Harm stays in touch with Mattie.

A Marine helo gunship intervenes during a standoff at a ranch; Mac prosecutes the pilot, and Harm defends. Bud investigates a Naval Reserve physician who, a conscientious objector, has received his medical education at Navy expense.

A Marine claims to have killed an Iraqi PoW; Bud prosecutes, and Mac defends. During a baseball game a pitcher hits a batter; the pitcher faces a charge of assault; Harm prosecutes, and the admiral defends. Harm stays in touch with Mattie.

A sailor dies at sea; another sailor is blamed; Harm and Mac investigate; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. The admiral asks Coates to plan the wedding, but she overdoes. Harriet coordinates for a USO Christmas tour, and Mike meets a girl.

Turner faces charges of racial bias; Harm petitions the court to get custody of Mattie Grace; Coates tries to engineer a Christmas miracle for Adm. Chegwidden & Lt. Sims.

Adm. Chegwidden launches an investigation into the illegal diamond trade when he discovers his fiancee's stone might have been smuggled.

Mac must defend a petty officer accused of murdering a female officer, but the man has no memory of the night in question, while a Navy SEAL who purchased nerve gas needs Bud's help to avoid prison.

In Iraq two F-14 Tomcats bomb a hospital, which Iraqi forces have turned into a bunker; 32 civilians die. The SecNav stands trial in the International Criminal Court; Harm, Mac, and Bud defend him. Little A.J. disappears and reappears.

A crash aboard an aircraft carrier appears to be a case of the pilot committing suicide, and Harm and Mac face off when Mac wants to hold the pilot's CO responsible.

A battery explosion deafens Harm. The CIA's diamond expert, Van Duyn, disappears, along with 24 of the Navy's synthetic diamonds. Sadik returns and plans new terrorist attacks, but Mac intercepts him and takes care of him and his plans.

A discharged Marine is recalled to active duty to stand trial for the unauthorized wearing of a Silver Star; Harm prosecutes, and Mac defends. The admiral sends Mac to see a shrink. Bud loses a snake. Harm and Mattie have ups and downs.

After dinner at a Chinese restaurant the gang takes part in a round of what might have become if the various people had set out on different roads. They wind up at a party at Harriet's castle, and they see one another in a different light.

Mac discovers the reason for a false positive result of a drug test for an angry woman enlisted Marine, and Harm and Bud represent a senior chief petty officer who is HIV-positive, and whose privacy has become compromised.

During a guest sermon a Marine general has made remarks about the Islamic faith; this publicly boils into a court-martial; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. Bud investigates a complaint of racial bias against Sturgis, and he resolves it.

A Marine dies in an ambush in Iraq; his sister is a classmate of Mattie; Harm and Mattie help the mother and the sister of the Marine. Bud investigates the failure of the body armor. Harm and Mattie continue to understand each other better.

A kilo of heroin disappears during the seizure of a foreign ship. Harm and Mac investigate; they find the missing kilo, then they find the culprit. Bud helps a Marine with a recording contract who now must deploy. Bud and Mike talk again.

The season finale finds cast members in a total state of change: Admiral Chegwidden reveals a surprising decision he has made; Mac is given some news about her health and Harm is faced with a personal loss.
