Corner Gas

Dog River, Saskatchewan is a town where not much happens and the locals like it that way. So, when Brent Leroy starts renting videos at his corner gas station and a big city girl from Toronto moves in to run the coffee shop next door it's either a sign of the apocalypse or a chance for Dog River to finally have a decent cup of coffee.

When a tax man comes to audit the Corner Gas business records, Brent's dad Oscar and friend Hank immediately plot revenge by devising a fool-proof plan to humiliate the auditor. Unfortunately for Hank and Oscar, Emma's excellent record-keeping throws the whole clockwork operation into chaos and Hank learns you shouldn't carry out a humiliation plan after you've been drinking. Meanwhile, Lacey's big city approach to selling coffee doesn't fly with the locals.

Lacey offers free Pilates classes to the people of Dog River but the town is strangely hostile to the idea. Then Brent and Hank's fashion worlds collide; Dog River's not big enough for two sharp-dressed men, so Hank comes up with a way of making sure they never steal each other's fashion thunder again. Meanwhile, Brent's dad Oscar takes steps to avoid being buried in a cheap looking coffin.

In an effort to impress Lacey, Brent agrees to babysit Wanda's troubled six-year-old, Tanner, and the town takes an unusual interest in the outcome. Brent uses his time with Tanner to develop his nurturing side but the results are painful, mostly for Brent. Eventually Lacey does come to Brent's rescue but not for the reasons Brent thinks. Meanwhile Oscar does his best not to destroy the gas station in Brent's absence and Hank tries to deal with his own disturbing memory of babysitting Wanda's kid.

A poorly spray-painted "Grad 68" on the Dog River water tower has been an eyesore for years. But when rookie cop Karen makes it her mission to crack the graffiti cold case, she finds many of the locals united in a mysterious conspiracy of silence. Meanwhile, Brent throws Dog River into chaos when he tries to end the confusion over the gas station's new bathroom signs. And when Lacey's column is rejected by the town newspaper, she becomes desperate to be published, especially after hearing the paper usually takes anyone.

Realizing that other prairie towns have attracted tourists by erecting giant statues of eggs, moose and magpies, Dog River decides it should put up its own big tourist magnet. The question is what. Finally the mayor's grandmother comes up with the perfect landmark. The only problem is the name of the landmark has an unfortunate double meaning. But who can argue with the mayor's grandmother? Meanwhile, Brent's dad Oscar gets help from some head cheese to stop a love-struck admirer from ruining his marriage.

When Lacey's ex-fiancé Stephen visits from Toronto, Hank thinks she's being stalked by an obsessed lunatic, so he poses as her boyfriend to protect her. Meanwhile, Davis and Karen try to track down this "stalker," spinning his reputation out of control. Meanwhile, Emma tries to get Oscar to see a doctor for his annual checkup.

Brent's cousin Carl visits and pushes all his buttons, so Brent tries to prove to everyone just how big a jerk Carl is. Oscar tries to boycott the liquor store because Wes won't give him $1.20 for his old empties. Meanwhile, Hank is unprepared for Dog River's annual talent show.

Davis gets a serious case of cell phone envy when he sees that Brent has a smaller one than he does. Soon, the two attempt to outdo one another by buying a smaller one than the other one has, then a smaller one, then a smaller one, and so on. Meanwhile, Oscar becomes addicted to the thrill of winning little stuffed animals on the new claw game in the bar and soon decides to seek help for it.

Upset to hear a comedian who once visited Dog River repeat a joke he told him when he was there, Brent plans to have the last laugh when he learns that the comedian is returning to Dog River to do a show. Hank wants to do a set for comedy night as well, but can't think of any material. Meanwhile, the ladies start a book club, which Brent makes into a movie club when he joins.

Karen and Hank go on a fishing trip together and she learns that he's a different person when he fishes. Brent and Lacey engage each other in a battle of wits with the help of the new roadside sign. Oscar tries to prove that his memory is as good as it ever was, prompting Brent and the whole town to have a little fun at his expense.

The Dog River hockey team, The River Dogs, find out that their goalie, Brent feels unappreciated and is considering playing for a rival team, The Stonewood Saints. With no coach either, Lacey steps up and helps The River Dogs to play one of their best games ever. They tie! Emma pressures Oscar to get rid of his clunker of a car, but Oscar insists that the car's fine and the only clunker around is Emma.

Everyone is excited when they all take a trip to the Grey Cup in Regina, but since they all have to go with only one other person rather than as a group, problems arise. Emma is accused of stealing while at a dollar store with Wanda. Oscar with Hank, finds that a friend of his, who owed him money has passed on. Davis and Karen lose their tickets, so Davis tries to buy from a scalper only to find out that she's actually an undercover police officer posing as a prostitute and he gets himself arrested. And finally, Brent and Lacey run out of gas in the middle of nowhere, despite the fact that Brent owns a gas station.

Lacey tries to work out where she and Brent stand after the Grey Cup incident. Hank suckers Oscar into buying his old outboard motor - using money he stole from Emma.

Brent is shocked to find out his parents never married. But things are set straight when Oscar and Emma are talked into a splashy nuptial ceremony by an unlikely wedding planner. Meanwhile Hank disputes Brent's ownership of a Darryl Sittler rookie card he claims he won when they were kids. And Lacey makes it her personal mission to help Oscar with an embarrassing problem he's not aware that he has.

Davis regains his sense of smell, only to find that it's not all roses. Lacey discovers Hank's unusual talent for Scrabble, while Brent's attempt to become less of an ignoramus backfires.

After Lacey's greatest fear is revealed, Brent, Hank and Wanda discuss fears, mainly to discover Wanda's. Karen reveals that Oscar is a terrific cook.

Brent and Hank try not to do each other any favors, while Oscar and Karen's new hobbies drive everyone mad.

Brent buys a big-screen TV, which leads everyone to think he's poor. Wanda's foray into jewelry-selling leaves Lacey unsatisfied.

Fitzy had the town in an uproar over getting a traffic light installed and jaywalking banned. Hank and Oscar take it upon themselves to start a rebellion. Lacey makes the "Ruby Club" sandwich but soon regrets it. Emma offers to design a tattoo for Wanda but her drawings are terrible.

When Brent installs a security camera at Corner Gas, he isn't prepared for the private moments caught on tape. Two unlikely conspirators hatch a plan to deal with the camera, and Hank sees the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream when Davis gets a new stun gun. Meanwhile Oscar and Emma's romantic getaway to a fancy resort convinces them there's no place like home.

Wanda starts calling bingo, much to Emma's annoyance. Karen is suspended from service after failing a drug test, and Brent and Hank start hanging around with different people.

It's mosquito season in Dog River, but Hank seems to be immune. Meanwhile, Oscar drives Wanda crazy hanging out at Corner Gas and Lacey feels left out of the town's time capsule.

When a local senior has hip problems, a spot opens up on the Leroy curling team, but family problems lead to Brent and Oscar skipping separate teams. Lacey becomes the centre of attention, with both teams vying for her curling skills. Karen is left to take care of the trophy for the Bon Spiel, the Clavet Cup; this turns out to be a more difficult task than she thought it would be.

Mayor Fitzy's plan to promote Dog River seems to be working, as an American tourist shows up by accident. Hank is made the goodwill ambassador to Bill, the tourist, but feels that he's nothing more than a typical ignorant American. Meanwhile, Wes' liquor store becomes the new hip place to be as the brand new ATM machine he has put in, seems to be attracting crowds.

Having Lacey as a dinner guest turns out to be a bad idea when she bumps Oscar and Emma up into a new wine bracket. Davis gets new shoes on Karen's insistence, which leads to a world of pain for both him and the residents of Dog River. And Hank wins the lottery.

A new doctor comes to Dog River, but is she too small-town for them? Meanwhile, Dog River becomes a very cheap place to live for Brent, who only has a $100 bill which nobody thinks is genuine.

Civic-minded Lacey uncovers the dark secret behind Dog River's name. Brent, Hank and Wanda resurrect their old high school rock band Thunderface. The local bar owner is thrilled but not for the reasons the band thinks. Meanwhile Davis takes an unusual interest in Oscar's claim that a famous country and western singer stole his song.

A big air show is on nearby and the people of Dog River are very excited but Lacey's breach of airshow protocol has many in town upset. Thankfully with the help of the Snowbirds, Lacey almost manages to make things right. Meanwhile, business at Brent's gas station hits an unexpected snag while Hank's new corn stand scheme exceeds all expectations. And after a rash of vandalism, Karen and Davis take to the streets on bikes to do some face-to-face community policing. But Karen is oddly reluctant.

With a little help from Oscar, a friendly slow-pitch game in the local beer league gets a lot less friendly. Armed with an array of secret pitches, Brent is ready to lob his team to victory. But the team could be disqualified if 10th member Lacey doesn't make it to the diamond in time. Meanwhile Davis and Karen are only too happy to turn a blind eye to drinking on the team's bench, but they have a harder time ignoring an act of vandalism.

Lacey has had enough when she finds out about another local event that no one has invited her to, Hank falls for a woman named Heather. but things go bad when the people of Dog River discover something about Heather. Brent and Oscar try to find reasons not to eat Emma's horrible jelly salad.

Wanda wears a skirt to work and notices that Brent is acting different. Oscar and Hank play at investing in stocks. Emma helps Lacey, only to regret it, meanwhile Karen and Davis try to manipulate each other.

Hank confides in Wanda about his possibly psychic dreams. Lacey does her civic duty by fixing a pot hole, which leads to more problems. Karen and Davis both lose their keys, but in order to do their job they can't let anyone know.

Brent's coffee habit is getting out of hand, so he and Emma make a deal, he'll quit coffee if she'll quit knitting. Davis and Karen start a ride-along program to get respect, however things don't go the way they want. Hank gets a new electronic organizer and learns that he can't live without it.

Brent mishears a conversation between his parents which makes him think they are getting a will, and everyone else think that he's planning to murder them.

Hank meets a German Shepherd and thinks it's the Littlist Hobo. Karen and Davis meets their exact doubles and feel excluded from the community.

It's time for Brent's annual vacation, It has Lacey wondering how he can afford such luxury, until she discovers the secret of his trip. Karen goes to great lengths to make sure that Davis brings exactly what he signed up to bring for the Dog River pot luck dinner. Oscar and Emma get a computer.

Oscar gets handicapped plates, which Emma uses to get prime parking spots to go shopping. Lacey starts running with Wanda, but when she can't keep up she recruits Karen. When Karen and Wanda continue to leave Lacey in the dust, she gets Brent and Davis to join as well, only they have their own idea of how to keep up. Hank becomes the new crossing guard.

Brent and Hank rediscover their old tree house and have to take it back from a group of kids. Davis tries to keep Wanda in custody, but her Houdini-like powers are to much.Oscar helps an old friend with her hot water but that's not the only thing that's hot.

Feeling out-of-date with his old-fashioned camera, Brent gets a new one, but he doesn't read the required instruction booklet. Paul adds a trivia game to the bar, bringing out people's competitive sides. Oscar dislikes his neighbor's lawn ornaments.

Karen is tasked with making a coloring book, just she cant draw or write, that's where Brent and Wanda come in. Before long, soon artistic visions become a problem. Hank learns he's a Libra not a Virgo, making him change his life to match the horoscope. Davis and Oscar hang out on the rooftop of the Leroy home.

Lacey learns Brent is paranoid about losing hair, she promises to help but only makes things worse. Wanda buys a lamp at an estate auction and starts a heated standoff at Corner Gas. Oscar gets a hunger for Lacey's magic tricks at the Ruby, Hank shows off his inexperience with fixing appliances.

Lacey starts a coffee shop newsletter and asks Brent to draw the cartoons. Davis and Karen see Brent's cartoons as personal attacks. Hank comes up with a way for Lacey to make more tips, but soon he gets cut out, Oscar's childhood dream of being a paperboy turns to a nightmare for Emma.

Brent must find a way to deal with Emma's plans for a traditional Christmas. Lacey plans to head to Toronto for the holidays but the weather has other plans. Hank gets into the holiday spirit and organizes a gift drive for a needy family. Wanda try's to get her hands on the season's hottest toy.

Lacey's friend Connie comes to Dog River and everyone's surprised by how rude she is. Lacey is skeptical, So Hank comes up with a plan to prove things once and for all. Wanda and Brent try to keep the Corner Gas rewards card program from getting out of control, Davis thinks Karen would make a bad undercover cop.

As Dog River celebrates its centennial, Hank decides to build a scale model of the town out of Lego; meanwhile, Karen reveals a hidden talent.

Brent and Lacey battle for the title of who can keep a secret the best with Karen stuck in the middle. Wanda is angry when she is turned down for a credit card when Hank was approved for the same card. Oscar coaches Davis to his physical peak.

The door closer at Corner Gas breaks, so Brent takes Lacey's advice to hire the best door guy in the business, everything goes well until Brent tries to tune the device on his own. Wanda goes all out to protect her new telescope and see astronomical history, Oscar and Emma drive the town crazy when they borrow an RV.

Dog River's children's play park is falling apart, So Brent suggests a fundraiser with a jelly bean jar contest. a convoy of truckers passing through town has Davis reliving trucker cop movies. Hank drags Wanda into lies when he joins a club for people who own Lamborghinis.

Lacey asks Brent's guy knowledge to help her buy a car. Davis and Karen experiment with snack foods to avoid stereotypes. Wanda takes the brunt of Emma's anger for the anniversary gift she got from Oscar.

Brent accepts the offer of a haircut from Karen, only to raise the ire of his regular "barber" Emma, who proves territorial about the task. Hank tests Lacey's patience after promising to stain her deck. Davis tries to convince Oscar to replace the muffler on his car, which is as loud as it is old.

When a morning radio DJ starts impersonating Brent on his show, Brent tries to prove to the people of Dog River - and especially Oscar - that it's not actually him. Lacey's upset when her new delivery service proves more popular than she'd like. And Davis and Karen find out that their work-to-rule campaign is a lot more work than they thought.

Hank installs a new digital thermostat for Oscar and Emma. Karen makes Lacey regret disobeying a local yield sign. Davis puts up a security height sticker by the door of Corner Gas.

Brent and Lacey mentor some high-school students in a job-shadow program. Hank gets a fondue pot, which upsets fondue enthusiast Davis. After a friend's divorce, Emma decides to be nicer to Oscar, which has unexpected consequences for Wanda.

Hank is hired to tear down a local's barn, which Oscar interrupts because he thinks the act could earn him Newsmaker of the Year. In his own attempt to win this honor, Davis hires Wanda to take action photos of him - a foolproof plan except that Karen keeps weaseling her way into the pictures. Meanwhile, Lacey is frustrated at having to constantly re-do Emma's nails.

Karen fundraises using Davis with special assistance from Hank. Wanda takes the improvement out of home improvement.

Hank has an epiphany and decides to live out his life-long dream of becoming a "professional" rodeo clown. Meanwhile, Davis tricks Karen into giving a speech about the unreliability of eyewitness testimony, something she's not keen to do; and Oscar gives up on being Emma's bridge partner, leaving an unsuspecting Lacey in his place.

Tired of hearing Hank's day-to-day ramblings Brent convinces him to write a blog. The only problem is that people care for this about as much as they did listening to him carry on about nothing. Lacey, in an effort to prove she's not spinning her wheels, takes Oscar on as the defending horseshoe champ and Wanda has gives Davis a hand with his taxes trying to prove to him that tax time is actually fun time.

Corner Gas is suddenly no longer part of Dog River, and Davis polishes his practical joke skills.

When Emma hauls her old piano out of the basement and decides to start giving lessons again, Davis and Wanda quickly sign up. Meanwhile at Corner Gas, Brent and Oscar disagree over buying a new air-pump or just fixing the old one. And after Lacey breaks her arm everyone is willing to sign her cast except Karen, whose reason is peculiar.

Emma takes up sewing and immediately realizes that she needs a quiet place, away from Oscar, where she can sew in peace. She decides to turn Brent's old room into a sewing haven, and Hank helps by taking Brent's old toys out of the way. When Brent finds out, jealousy rears its ugly head. Oscar doesn't like the fact that Emma has him on an allowance and decides to make money on his own by selling cookies. Karen strikes an uneasy bargain with Oscar as his partner, but she has ulterior motives. Davis learns what it's like to be discriminated against when he tries to order food from the Kids' Menu at The Ruby, while Wanda tries to ingratiate herself to both Corner Gas customers and the townsfolk of Dog River by being more 'down home.'

After neglecting to buy Emma a Mother's Day present, Brent finds himself trying to get back into her good books by crushing Hank's efforts to be a better son than him. This is nothing but good news to Oscar who realizes that he can now get away with pretty much anything. Over at the Ruby Lacey and Davis try to see who can embarrass the other more by bringing up each other's inabilities. Meanwhile Karen and Wanda buy a hutch from a Swedish super store and have some problems putting it together.

When Oscar must find a way to pay for Emma's damaged bushes he takes the census-taker job. The problem is, he's partnered with Hank, who would prefer to work alone. Meanwhile, Wanda and Brent try to make extra cash by selling meal-replacement bars; and a misunderstanding leads Lacey to believe that two of Dog River's finest are involved in a scandalous affair.

When Davis buys a table hockey game for the police station Brent and Karen show down to see who is the ultimate champion. Hank, in seeing how Brent is preparing for the big game decides that maybe Karen is a better role model to follow. Meanwhile, Lacey, thinking Emma is quite deserving of the award, decides to nominate her as a Woman of Distinction.

When Karen thinks that she and Lacey are past the point of asking to borrow things, it's open season on each other's possessions. Oscar, Emma, and Wanda are aghast that Brent has never seen a horror movie so they set out to scare the crap out of him. To save time getting things from his truck, Hank starts to wear cargo pants that can hold everything he could ever need...ever.

Wanda accidentally breaks Emma's famous Potato Bowl and feels mounting pressure to amend the situation. Meanwhile, Hank tries to become a better storyteller by making fun of Brent and Lacey; and Oscar, Karen, and Davis start their own secret club.

When Brent's glasses break, he decides to try different alternatives, but Wanda doesn't quite believe he's man enough. Karen and Davis take advantage of Hank's newfound slogan-writing talent by putting an original on the Cop Car, but the slogan's nature causes Oscar to take the law into his own hands.

Brent and Oscar have to take Davis on one their annual camping trip which makes things more complicated than they would have liked. Hank finds himself with a once-in-a-lifetime good hair day and does his best to hold on to it. And in an effort to prove to each other how difficult their jobs are, Lacey and Wanda decide to switch jobs for a while.

Hank has an idea to increase tourism to Dog River which causes consequences nobody could have foreseen. Oscar also has an idea but is afraid to bring it forward for fear of being labeled a crazy old man. The new found popularity of Dog River causes a business boom at Corner Gas and the Ruby as well as Wanda getting a weekly guest spot on popular Canadian news program. Davis tries to work as Fitzy's personal body guard during the transition while Karen thinks loyal, honest police work is best.

A cable excess van comes to Dog River. Lacey, Wanda and Emma compete with Karen and Davis for a show. But the decision falls into first Oscar's, then Brent's, hands.

Hank starts teaching a spin class. Karen and Davis sign up. Karen gets made fun of for being a teacher's pet, so she makes a plan to lose the title.

Brent tries to convince Lacey to lose to Hank at golf, to avoid unpleasant circumstances; Emma shops for a new bed and meets a suave salesman; Wanda buys Davis lunch to get out of a ticket, then tries the same trick with Karen.

Brent's new black work shirt changes his personality; Oscar moves in with Davis to avoid paint fumes, but Davis thinks Oscar and Emma are divorcing; the paint fumes start to get to Emma; mysterious crop circles appear in Dog River.

Wanda wants to know the milk delivery guy better; Hank uses his dirty truck as an organizer; Emma and Oscar go to war over using each other's personal items; Lacey uses Karen's artwork to cover up a hole in the wall.

Emma is forced into an elaborate cover story when Oscar takes the gift sent from Dog River's twin city; Lacey tries to convince Brent to "go green"; Wanda gets philosophical as relief bartender; Hank discovers an expanded drink repertoire.

Oscar drives the school bus and decides to lay down the law on "unruly" students. Karen accidentally knocks out Davis and it ruins his reputation. Wanda gets addicted to an energy drink while Brent tries to avoid helping Emma around the house.

Brent's "brother" visits from Africa. Wanda turns out to not be as smart as she appears, and Lacey learns a few new food marketing tricks.

Oscar becomes obsessed with killing a mouse in Corner Gas and Davis plans to capture it safely; Emma and Karen try different approaches to fixing Wanda's back; Brent and Hank try to trick Lacey with their made-up game.

Brent refuses to make Wanda Employee of the Month. Hank joins Emma's knitting group. Oscar writes a column for The Howler.

Hank starts up a new business, and gets some unwanted help from Oscar, but it's Karen's help that really make things take off. Brent tries something new, but finds only embarrassment. Lacey and Davis play the real estate market, until Davis decides that play time is over.

Brent gets tired of hearing Oscar using the same name for everyone, and decides to use what he thinks is a fool-proof way to put a stop to it. Lacey finds out some not-so-nice things about her future when she visits a psychic. Davis finds that it is possible to scare yourself silly, while Wanda and Emma have some difficulties organizing a party.

Hank and Davis run afoul of Emma in her new job promoting a call center. Wanda finds a morbid new hobby, and when Oscar finds out about it, he joins her. Karen and Brent become suspicious of a mysterious box in Lacey's house.

Everything is in the pink for Hank, but Brent and Wanda see things a different way than Hank does. Lacey creates Dog River Dollars, and then becomes suspicious that they are being counterfeited. Karen tries to get Davis to think for himself.

Karen and Davis resort to bribery to find out what they're getting for Christmas. Lacey begins to doubt Wanda's friendship. Hank decides to practice Daylight Savings Time in Saskatchewan, even though the rest of the province doesn't.

Hank has to resort to bribery to get Brent and Davis to see the latest hit movie with him. Oscar puts in a sidewalk in front of his house, and then forces Karen to guard it. Lacey joins the local women's club against her better judgment.

Karen and Davis discover the secret of Emma's cleaning habits, and use it to their advantage. Hank discovers the underside of life. Brent donates some money to Dog River to create a legacy, which causes Oscar to start a legacy of his own.

Oscar has a new get-rich-quick plan that might actually work... until Emma finds out about it. Davis borrows Brent's car, but won't say why he needs it. Lacey bids in a silent auction and wins Hank's services as a prize that turns out to be more work than she bargained for.

In the final 30 minutes before Brent turns 40, Wanda tries to pull off a fireworks display for the occasion that goes terribly wrong. Lacey and Emma disagree over just who should be baking Brent's birthday cake, and Brent is dismayed to discover that his special bottle of scotch has gone missing.

When Brent enters a reluctant Lacey into an eating contest, it tarnishes his reputation and results in a very offended Davis. At the Leroys', Emma's new MP3 player allows Oscar to get away with a bit too much. Karen's auctioneering experience pits Hank and Wanda in a battle of vehicles.

Davis' decision to take on Brent and Lacey as the sponsors for his soccer team lands him in hot water with the players' parents. Meanwhile, Karen is spooked out of the police cruiser driver's seat and enlists Hank's help getting around town. And when an old tape of Wanda doing television projects for a college broadcast course winds up in Oscar and Emma's hands, it's all fun and games until Oscar and Emma find out the last laugh is on them.

Brent thinks the self-serve option at Corner Gas will make his life easier, until he discovers his customers are enjoying it a little too much. On the other hand, Lacey's Ruby buffet has her customers working overtime. Wanda's quest to reclaim her title as Rumour Queen proves disastrous for Karen and Emma, while Hank's old laptop becomes a hot potato when he tries to sell it to either Oscar or Davis.

Hank's mockery of Brent's air conditioner temperature lands him in hot water at Corner Gas. Karen and Davis win a meat draw but trouble starts when they have no where to store it and trust Oscar and Emma with their stash. Lacey and Wanda unleash their maternal instincts on an unwanted pet left at the Ruby.

When Karen forgets to pay for a muffin, she finds out what it's like to be on the wrong side of the law; Hank changes his email password, forcing Wanda to try to get inside his head in order to figure out what the new password is; Brent takes to the kitchen to prove that he can cook dinner as well as eat it.

When Oscar and Emma invite Lacey to their hot tub party, she is excited to finally be included until she finds out that she's the only person to accept; Davis introduces a new mascot to promote DRPD; Hank suddenly becomes homeless, leaving Brent to wonder where he's spending his evenings.

Hank, Karen and Wanda's willpower is put to the test when they try to make each other break their new year's resolutions. Davis tries to get out of making coffee at the police station and Brent and Emma teach Oscar a thing or two about being a Canadian citizen.

Brent has trouble proving to Lacey and Hank that he's a true Roughriders fan. Davis enlightens Wanda to the unwritten rules of mixed CDs, while Karen volunteers to read books at the seniors' home and has some unlikely fans in Oscar and Emma.

Brent signs up for guitar lessons, causing Oscar to relive some unpleasant parts of his childhood; Wanda becomes a reporter for The Howler, writing under a pseudonym so she can really speak her mind; Hank follows Karen's workout plan, then tries to prove that he's stronger than Emma.

Brent and Hank are on the outs after a trip to see their favorite comic book writer goes awry. Lacey's generous donations to the thrift store make the perfect gifts for Karen to celebrate her recent promotion. Oscar and Emma's new home alarm system causes more emergencies than Davis bargained for.

When it is announced that Dog River Days has been canceled, Lacey enlists the help of Davis and Hank to save them. Emma asks Oscar to get rid of the stray cats in her garden, but the task proves more difficult than Oscar thought, and gives Karen a new reputation. Brent fakes an injury in Corner Gas to teach Wanda a lesson.

Davis gets a lesson in sensitivity after Karen is offended by his blond jokes. Brent and Lacey try to convince Hank that superstitions are fake and Wanda takes on Emma's identity at the Rec Plex realizing that becoming Emma Leroy isn't as easy as she thought.

Emma keeps a watchful eye on the citizens of Dog River to ensure the town reigns supreme over Wullerton ('spit') in "Turn Off Your TV Week". Lacey and Oscar find a profitable way to break the rules and Karen and Davis hit the radio airwaves to help everyone cope. Brent finds a creative way to get through a week of no TV with the help of Hank and Wanda.

Wanda's new way of getting around town brings a European flair to Dog River much to Brent's inconvenience. Lacey tricks Karen and Davis into helping her move. Meanwhile, Hank's new greeting puts him in an awkward situation with Emma and annoys Oscar.

Jealous of Hank's new toy robot, Davis places an order online but is surprised when his robot arrives. Despite Emma's warning, Lacey's quest to expand Brent's culinary horizons and turn Brent into a food critic from hell. Wanda suits up to help Oscar combat a beehive.

Brent and Hank decide to take a trip down memory lane stealing crab apples from a neighbour's yard that gets Hank in trouble. No one wants Oscar on their charades team, until he proves his skills. Davis and Wanda find reasons to write angry complaint letters to companies in hopes of getting free stuff.

When Emma inadvertently finds herself a substitute teacher at the elementary school she asks Karen and Wanda to talk to the kids about their careers, causing tension to erupt. Lacey's attempt to make the Ruby more birthday friendly goes too far. Meanwhile, Brent and Hank panic after they suspect Oscar has eaten a thirty-year-old snack cake.

A windstorm changes the name of The Ruby; Wanda requires equal rights at work, leaving Brent with more problems than he'd expected; the results of a jam contest leave Oscar concerned about Emma.
