For dwarves Matt and Amy Roloff, life as as Little People is a constant challenge. Standing only four feet tall, they're struggling to raise four children - a mixture of little and average size siblings - on their 34 acre farm.

Fifteen-year-old twins Zach and Jeremy couldn't be more different. Jeremy is average height and Zach is a Little Person, just 2-feet shorter than his brother. Their dad pushes Zach to overcome his shyness at the Little People of America Conference.

Matt and Amy have been married for 18 years, but as the big date rolls around, both are too stressed out to do a thing about it. Tension runs high as Amy worries about money, the kids, her job, and Matt's lack of a steady job. Their four children, however, have different plans for their parents' big day.

Matt hopes to bond with his twin boys, Jeremy and Zach, but their weeken camping trip doesn't go as planned. Also, Matt and Zach push beyond their physical limitations when they attempt to ascend a rugged mountain path.

Matt plans a birthday surprise for wife Amy and daughter Molly, but it is not the hot-air balloon ride he sends them off on for the day. It's the remodeling of Amy's master bathroom. But, even with the aid of his sons and his father, will he be able to finish it before the birthday girls get back?

With the twin brothers starting their first week of high school, Amy thinks that Jeremy is taking his opportunites as a person of normal height for granted. She gets mad at him for skipping soccer practice, when his shorter brother Zach would give anything merely to be able to try out.

When the twins go to the DMV to get their learner's permits, Jeremy passes the exam easily but Zach has problems. Zach also tries becoming a soccer coach to make up for not being able to play, but dad Matt is starting to get annoyed by the rest of the family's preoccupation with the game.

When Matt rents out the family farm for a corporate picnic, his wife Amy says "enough is enough." Amy considers the event an invasion of privacy, but Matt sees it as an easy way to make money.

Jeremy introduces his first girlfriend to the family, while his twin brother, Zach, struggles with shyness. Matt tried to help build Zach's social skills. Amy faces the image-conscious modeling world when Molly is recruited for a photo shoot.

Matt hatched a plan to build a trebuchet to draw more customers to his pumpkin patch. Later Matt enlists his twin sons' help in the pumpkin field and argues with Amy who insists he didn't pay enough for their help.

The Dwarf Athletic Games are in full swing and Zach has the chance to compete with people his own size. He's put together his own soccer team to try and beat the mighty LA Breakers, les by "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Marty Klebba.

The Roloff home remodel is still unfinished, so Matt brings in the pros to build a new deck. Meanwhile the Roloff kids embark on a project of their own: making a new tree fort. The boys' fort project gets shut down when Jacob steps on a rusty nail.

Determined to put the finishing touches and beat the failed inspection of their desk by city hall, Matt devises a crafty solution to their problem as the Roloff's equip the new deck with furniture and a low-height grill.

While Amy is away for a weekend reunion with her sisters in San Francisco, Matt makes a long-awaited purchase—a vintage VW Bug—and decides to repaint the house. Then he worries how he'll keep Amy from getting upset.

Inspired by his zip line experience in Hawaii, Matt sets out to build the biggest and best zip line on the west coast, but soon wonders if he has bitten off more than he can chew.

Zach travels to Pasadena to visit his LP twin buddies, Jeff & Eric Manuel; Meanwhile, Jeremy goes to a pro soccer game in Seattle and gets some professional advice from MLS star Freddy Adu before his tryout for the Olympic Development Program.

Matt travels to New York City for a meeting with an LP hotel executive about getting his accessibility stool kits into national chains. On the farm, the twins re-launch construction on their fort, until a runaway tractor incident slows them down.

Matt threatens to quit his job because the kids are out of control when he's away. Jeremy and Zach break Matt's new mule and Jacob gets in hot water when Amy learns he has smashed a bunch of light bulbs in the barn.

Matt decides to tackle the biggest problem in the Roloff house, his children's messy bedrooms. When a dumpster arrives in the driveway, Matt instructs the kids to empty their rooms into it. A lackluster response leaves Matt wondering how to inspire them.

As Jake's 10th birthday approaches, Matt orchestrates a major remodeling of the kids' bedrooms without much help from his sons. In an effort to motivate Jake, Matt enlists a family friend to give Jake's room a galactic glow-in-the-dark paint job.

Still in a cast from his leg surgery, Zach is stuck inside while his siblings play in the biggest snowstorm to hit the farm in 20 years! With the high school dance just around the corner, Zach is afraid he'll be stuck on the sidelines in a wheelchair.

After months of recovery, Zach returns to Oakland to have his cast removed and to learn if his bowed leg was successfully straightened. Meanwhile, Matt encourages Molly's growing interest in geography with a visit to Rand McNally in Irvine, CA.

Zach's recovery from leg surgery is progressing as slowly as the remodeling of the kids' bedrooms. But when the cast comes off, and Zach tries to ride his bike, kick a soccer ball, and run around too soon, he stands to lose more ground than he's gained.

Matt and Amy have two different approaches to try and get Jeremy to keep up with his schoolwork. Matt offers an incentive, but he soon realizes that it will take a lot more than an old beat-up '68 Camaro to get Jeremy going.

Matt is trying to juggle bulldozing a new pumpkin patch parking lot, repairing the Old West Town church, and finishing Molly's Castle. On top of all that, Matt works to complete the Men's Crisis Center.

After trying to step to the top of an ordinary plastic stool and crashing to the floor, Matt is determined to get his custom-made stool kits into hotels. He meets resistance from one particular hotel company, which mobilizes him to redouble his efforts.

With the Roloff room remodel nearly complete, Jeremy makes a deal with his parents to help finish the project. Meanwhile, Amy's alma mater, Central Michigan University, invites her to give a speech to the student body.

With all the chaos on Roloff Farms, Amy can hardly find time to prepare for her upcoming motivational speech at Central Michigan University. Amy heads to Michigan feeling unprepared, but her arrival on campus triggers a flood of inspirational memories.

Matt takes the family to Knott's Berry Farm, the theme park that inspired many of the farm attractions. Zach's mood turns sour when his shunt prevents him from riding some of the shakier rides, but that doesn't stop the rest of the family from having fun.

Matt, Amy, Jacob, Molly and Zach go to a LPA Conference in Phoenix. Molly surprises everyone when she gets all dolled up for the LPA dance. Back at home, Matt surprises the kids with a rented RV and plans for a road trip to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon.

Matt and Amy's Little Person friend Rob Haines prepares to undergo a risky surgery to correct a dwarfism-related spinal issue. Once Rob is out of the operating room, Matt visits him as he recovers in California.

Matt and his friend Connie, also a dwarf, participate in a high school project designed to create community LP awareness. Jeremy, Zach, his average height girlfriend Dani, and their friends join in a relief effort to assist families hit by a recent flood.

Matt embarks on an ambitious remodel of the Roloff house that soon proves well beyond his abilities to manage. With an architect and a general contractor already on the payroll, Amy wonders how they'll be able to pay for it all.

All the colors of Molly begin to shine. She's independent, ignoring the Roloff boys' soccer tradition, she begins another season of volleyball. She's motivating - she convinces the rest of the family to help her study Russian and plant a vegetable garden.

Along with their friends, twins Zach and Jeremy keep getting distracted as they struggle to complete their Swamp Fort - the project ultimately leads to an all-out paintball attack on the fort. Meanwhile, Matt installs an athletic court on the farm.

Although he's often wimpy, needy and smelly, the Roloffs' bull mastiff dog Rocky is a much-loved member of the family. The Roloffs in turn each share special moments with Rocky - and they all rally together with concern when he's injured.

Matt ups the ante for his accessibility kit business DAS by taking Amy and a group of their little people friends to a Las Vegas hotel convention. Back at the farm, an overflowing toilet means chaos for the kids.

While Matt and Amy are in Vegas having a blast with their little people friends, the Roloff kids are on their own. Although Jacob is being a pesky little brother, his twin brothers encourage him to grow up by taking him along for an adventurous hike.
