Determined to settle unfinished business, Antonio offers Luz her job back. Catalina reproaches her mother for rejecting the only ticket they had to escape poverty and enjoy the life of luxury she believes they deserve.

Catalina refuses to watch her dream of a millionaire's life fade before her eyes and decides to take extreme measures to force Luz to leave her old life of poverty behind.

Luz is forced to accept the job at the Arango-Nova estate, but despite the pain, she is glad to be close to Miguel Ángel again, who has been making sure she avoids legal trouble.

Don Antonio is forced to confess to Luz the real reason he insisted so much that she return to work for him, and he takes advantage of the moment of honesty to ask her about Catalina's father.

Eugenio surprises Antonio with his sudden arrival and his decision to return in order to get rid of Luz at any cost. However, he becomes captivated when he meets Catalina, convinced that she is his daughter.

Trying to build the strongest defense, Miguel Ángel pressures Luz to reveal where she really was on the night of the murder; however, aware of the consequences of the truth, she chooses to remain silent even if it costs her her freedom.

Catalina realizes that her videos are a bigger business than she thought and decides to take advantage of her fame to discredit the Arango-Nova family, hoping that this will be enough to free her mother.

Overcome with jealousy, Catalina questions Miguel Ángel's reasons for defending Luz's innocence, fearing that if he gets in the way of her and her mother, he could ruin the luxurious life she so desires.

Eugenio offers Luz solid proof that she did not kill Don Antonio, but she makes a shocking decision after hearing his conditions, as she does not trust him.

Eugenio tries to convince Luz to help him get out of prison, assuring her that no matter what she does, she will never be able to get him out of her life, since they already have too many things in common.
