Synopsis

Merchant daughter Jiang Zhen, set upon by her concubine, blinds a powerful man in one eye to protect herself. Rescued by her aunt, the former aunt of the Duke of Zhenguo, she travels to the capital, determined to marry a powerful man to protect her own safety. Due to a misunderstanding, she avoids Gu Heng like a scorpion, but Gu Heng misunderstands her as a seductress and becomes disgusted, obstructing their relationship and eventually growing resentful of the other men around Jiang Zhen.
