Synopsis

The caregivers and soldiers of Yan’an’s Second Nursery escort 136 children through war-torn lands to safety. Facing gunfire, harsh conditions, and constant danger, they sacrifice everything to protect the children, giving rise to the legendary “Children’s Long March” and an enduring spirit of courage and devotion that lives on today.
