Geneva, April 2015. In the hushed corridors of a luxury hotel, high-tension international negotiations get underway between the United States and Iran, suspected of secretly developing the atomic weapon. Alexandra Weiss, head of the Swiss diplomatic mission, is trying to maintain a fragile balance between the parties operating behind the scenes. The unexpected arrival of her former love, Payam Sanjabi, an Iranian engineer whose life is under threat, will complicate her task dangerously...

April 2015. A "last chance round" brings together the United States, Iran, Europe, Russia, and China in Geneva to regulate Iran's nuclear program, suspected of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons. Swiss head of protocol Alexandra Weiss orchestrates these high-tension negotiations from the shadows, unaware that spies are on a mission to disrupt them. As Alexandra is propelled to head the Swiss diplomatic mission, an Iranian engineer joins the negotiating table.
Alexandra is devastated by the unexpected arrival of the new engineer, Payam Sanjabi, weakened by a stay in Tehran's prisons. Alexandra tries to talk to him, but he is under constant surveillance. Mohsem Mahdavi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, must resolve family difficulties and calls on Babak Pirouz, a dubious businessman. Deprived of his passport, Sanjabi begs Alexandra for help.
Iran fires a missile toward the Golan Heights, and negotiations are about to break down. Cindy Cohen, the US Under Secretary of State, puts pressure on Mahdavi to try to save them. Andrew Porter, the US Treasury representative, has a late-night meeting that quickly embarrasses him. While Israeli intelligence services are desperate to find out what's going on at the negotiating table, Alexandra comes up with a plan to see Sanjabi in private.
Babak Pirouz is found dead. Alexandra suggests that Sanjabi and Professor Koonitz, the American delegation's engineer, work together without supervision. She wants to take advantage of this opportunity to be alone with Sanjabi, and asks Olivier Dayer, her colleague in charge of security, for help. While Alexandra tries to obtain a passport from a diplomat friend, she learns that Sanjabi has already married his lawyer in prison.
Spied on by the Mossad, Professor Koonitz and Payam Sanjabi present their findings. Upon learning that the latter will be sent back to Iran before the agreement is signed, Alexandra tries to gain time and manipulate both sides. The prospect of a "deal" infuriates Ali Katibi. He has Tony Reyes, a journalist and friend of Alexandra, imprisoned in Tehran, accusing him of espionage. The talks are suspended pending a prisoner exchange.
Cindy Cohen learns that Porter is informing the Israelis and puts pressure on him to approve the agreement. As a deal is about to be signed, the noose tightens dangerously around Sanjabi and Alexandra. At Mahdavi's request, her daughter Laleh arrives in Switzerland to escape the repression of dissidents in the Iranian regime. Alexandra takes advantage of the outpouring of emotion surrounding a soccer match to try to save Payam.
