Synopsis

Crawling through the eye of the needle. It's an experience that completely turns a person's life upside down. For those who have stared death in the eye, everything changes. In the gripping documentary series "Tussen Leven en Dood" (Between Life and Death), Kürt Rogiers gives these survivors a voice. Second by second, the viewer relives what happened to them. How did they survive? How did this fateful event influence the rest of their lives? And how can one draw strength from the worst things they can experience? From Marina, who was the victim of a random acid attack in Delhaize, to Elke, who fell from a Ferris wheel, and Dries, who got lost during his vacation and ended up in a cyclone.
