Kris Furillo is released from the juvenile detention center and begins working at the Ritter family ranch.

American drama series following troubled teen Kris Furillo - who has a criminal record - as she tries to build a new life for herself by joining Raintree Farm as a stable hand. In this first episode, Kris, begins her new life at the ranch. The Ritter family own the ranch and their fortunes have dwindled in recent years.

Kris is back at the ranch after her second time in juvenile detention, and Dani is jealous of Matt's romantic interest in Kris.

Kris's mother pays a surprise visit to the ranch to try and get her daughter to come back home with her. Meanwhile, Jean reveals that the farm is having money troubles.

A troubled girl forms a special bond with Wildfire, a failed race horse. Kris takes on a second job in an attempt to help out Raintree with their financial woes, and Matt turns to gambling to make some extra money.

Kris bribes Junior to stake a claim on Wildfire by promising that she will go on a date with him, and Dani finds out that Bobby is married.

A stampede at the ranch means that several horses have gone missing, and Kris, Dani, Matt and Junior go into the mountains to look for them. Elsewhere, Jean's ex-husband pays her an unexpected visit.

Kris and Matt look for the person responsible for some dangerous meddling. Meanwhile, Matt gets further into gambling debt.

Matt and Junior throw a party while Jean is away at a horse show; Kris worries about an old friend from the past arriving.

Kris trains with a well-known jockey instead of working on her studies, and Dani tries to solve the mystery of her mother's disappearance.

As Tina rides for a rival family, the decision is made that Kris should ride Wildfire, and Matt resumes his gambling habit.

Despite their loss in the Sandpiper Classic, Kris and Wildfire get lots of media attention. They also pique the interest of a sports agent. Meanwhile, Junior leaves home, and Kris and Matt go to look for him.

Kris's new agent encourages her to audition for a television commercial, sparks fly again between Kris and Junior, and Dani starts up her own stable.

Kris volunteers at a charity event in a prison and is tempted to go back to her old ways, and Matt and Junior open their new club.

Kris and Matt try their hardest to run the ranch in Jean's absence as well as keep up with their training for the next race. Later, Junior and Matt come to blows when some ranch guests go missing.

Junior's family's disapproving attitude of Junior and Kris's wedding plants doubts in Kris's mind about whether she wants to marry Junior and join the Davis family. Meanwhile, Dani's return to racing is plagued by her father's interference.

Kris and Junior consider an opportunity to move to Alaska for a year to work on a geothermal project. Kris also prepares for one last race on Wildfire.

In the series finale, Junior is torn when an urgent matter requires that he be in Alaska and coincides with Kris's race with Wildfire and his wedding.
