Patrick juggles his responsibilities, taking care of his autistic brother Matthew and working as a nursing assistant. A chance meeting with Mia, a children's author, unlocks a memory of their shared past.

Mia gives her father's carer a hard time. Patrick's search for a missing patient proves that some fate is impossible to escape as he crosses paths with the book author once again.

Vincent invites Patrick to his office to apologize on Mia's behalf. There, Patrick's old memories with the book author come resurfacing as a long-awaited confrontation between them ensues.
