
In the early 21st century, mankind has colonized the oceans. The United Earth Oceans Organization enlists Captain Nathan Bridger and the submarine seaQuest DSV to keep the peace and explore the last frontier on Earth.






The United Earth Oceans Organization recruits Captain Nathan Bridger to command SeaQuest DSV who was left without a captain when the previous captain was relieved of duty. Bridger is not enthusiastic about rejoining the militaristic organization, but when a pirate submarine endangers lives, he feels obligated to help, especially when the captain of the pirate submarine turns out to be the recently fired captain Marilyn Stark, the previous captain of the SeaQuest.
Darwin becomes ill when investigating a black smoker, and Bridger must consider how to save his life.
The seaQuest discovers the lost Library of Alexandria, but when surrounding nations cannot agree on a peaceful way to share the discovery, Bridger must act as mediator before escalating tensions result in the destruction of the library.
