During Couch's sentencing, a psychologist hired by the defense testified that the teen was a product of "affluenza" -- a term used to describe Couch's irresponsible lifestyle associated with his affluent upbringing -- and that irresponsible parenting had "strongly enabled" the accident, despite the fact that Couch had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit on the night of the crash.

In 2016, Fabio "Big Daddy" Sementilli was a beloved and sought-after hairstylist with a client roster that included Jennifer Lopez, Russell Crowe, Jackie Chan, Jennifer Love Hewitt and more. When Sementilli was discovered lying lifeless on his family's pool deck with multiple stab wounds to his neck and back, his family, friends and the hair-care industry were devastated. Initially, police suspected he had been a victim of a burglary gone wrong — until DNA found in his car led them to an unlikely suspect, who had attended Sementelli's memorial service sporting an injury.

Although there was little physical evidence and no DNA linking any of the men to the crime, a jury convicted Zach at trial — based mainly on Jason's testimony, in which he stated that he had been present when Zach shot and killed Holly. Dylan Adams and Jason Autry both eventually pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Earlier this year, Jason recanted his testimony, saying he made it all up, and while prosecutors stand by the conviction, lawyers for Zach are now asking a judge to grant him a new trial.

What started as a suspicious house fire in a quiet Cincinnati suburb soon led to something far more sinister. When firefighters arrived at the scene, investigators quickly determined the blaze had been intentionally set, and security footage showed two people appearing to orchestrate the fire.
