In 1989 the two most famous plumbers from Brooklyn burst out of the Nintendo game world and onto television screens across America. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! aired weekday afternoons and brought Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and King Koopa more thrilling adventures as cartoon characters. And if that weren't enough, each episode also contained live-action segments featuring Mario and Luigi running their Brooklyn plumbing shop - all before they were flushed down a drainpipe into the Mushroom World.

While crossing the Land of Ice, Toad gets kidnapped by a Giant Birdo who thinks the Mushroom is her missing baby.
With the help of the wizard Mervin, Mario pulls the Golden Plumber's Helper from the magic sink and saves the Land of Cramalot from evil King Koopa.
The dreaded Queen Rotunda of Rotundaland falls in love with Mario when she mistakenly drinks a love potion and tries to force him into marriage.
Our heroes get chased to the Planet Quirk where Koopa has enslaved the natives and then puts the Marios into slavery too.
Koopa and his minions are in a castle in Turtlevania and a magician visits Luigi.
King Koopa demands Toadstool to marry him, and she accepts his proposal, on the condition that he set the Marios free and turn the Toads back to normal.
On the streets of an unknown city, Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Toad, having been chained up in shackles, are being escorted by two Koopa Troopas up to a courthouse.
King Koopa enslaves the Mermushrooms in Aqua Land and forces them to recover treasure from the sunken vessels in the area.
In this segment, Mario has to put down the cute pizza delivery girl after she keeps delivering pizzas to him.
