
Automan is an American science fiction superhero television series produced by Glen A. Larson. It aired for only 12 episodes on ABC between 1983 and 1984.




A timid LAPD computer expert Walter Nebicher develops an alter-ego while tinkering with a video game. Nebicher's bright, a real genius. This alter ego" — actually a holographic image — turns out to be the expert crime fighter named "Automan." "Automan" also has the services of "Autocar," Autoplane," and Cursor, a glowing hexagon with special powers.Using Automan's computer resources, he and Walter discover that a gang of kidnappers operate under the guise of a respected security organization called Global Guard and make their gain by employing the specialized talents of the young scientists and engineers they capture and bring to a luxurious resort-like prison camp in the Swiss Alps.
Underworld gambling czar, Leonard Martin, is behind a plot to discredit Judge Alexander Farnsworth in a phony frame-up designed to link the judge to the syndicate. It's all part of Martin's plan to keep Judge Farnsworth, who is feared by the mob, from presiding over Martin's upcoming trial over his gambling activities.
