Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends is an American animated television series produced by Marvel Productions starring established Marvel Comics characters Spider-Man and Iceman and an original character, Firestar. As a trio called the Spider-Friends, they fought against various villains.

He steals a rare ruby (the Eye of India) and kidnaps Firestar to coerce her into harnessing her energy to power a growth energizer, which will hatch the eggs containing the dinosaurs.

Unfortunately he doesn't know how to be a superhero. While battling Thee Gamesman, the Spider-Friends help Video Man out. But in the end, the best help is found at the mansion of Professor Charles Xavier.

The Spider-Friends and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents learn that Lightwave (whose mutant power is to control and manipulate light energy) is being controlled by someone else who is after the Guardstar.
