We meet some police officers in Malmö, their tiring everyday lives and the constant difficulties in keeping work and private life separate. Sara is an idealistic, Christian and newly graduated police officer. She is paired with Magnus, who is rock hard and cynical. Sara's gullibility is tested when she offers personal support to a young girl. Jesse and Leah are both experienced and ambitious but both have problems at home. They get something else to think about when they are sent out to look for a missing girl and an Afghan refugee boy.

Sara struggles with her protective instinct and not bringing her emotions to work. When she and her colleagues storm a brothel, she is again given responsibility for vulnerable people. Can she not get involved emotionally? Leah's grandfather Jurek is angry at everything and everyone around him. A new integration project in the neighborhood will be his new object of hatred. Jesse is an old fox but he feels he is starting to lose control. A horrible crime reminds him that he can not always supervise his eldest daughter.

Magnus has let go of his cynicism and stubborn style. Now he instead gets the chance to help young people glide by training Nami and his gang in handball. The question is whether they will allow themselves to be controlled. Leah works harder than ever and things do not get better because Björn puts everything in her lap. She is under increasing pressure to make a change. Jesse tries not to be so worried about his daughter. But suddenly something happens that makes him fear for her life.
